Law of God
Nobody wants the label of being a hypocrite.
Many adult and young people claim that they
do not believe in being part of the Church
because they view the Church as a bunch of
hypocrites. They claim that we are no better
than the people Jesus was berating in the
Gospel today.
In reality, the exact reason we go to Mass is
that we all are hypocrites to some degree. What would a church full of
perfect people look like? There would be no need for salvation. Our
Catholic faith is like a recovery group for hypocrites where we recognize
that only Jesus makes us less hypocritical. That’s what todays Gospel
is about.
ext. 243
Today we need to learn the steps of how to recover from being a
hypocrite. First, admit that you are one. It is this recognition of
weakness that allows us to keep relying on Jesus Christ.
ext 101
Second, learn the Law of God, and put it in your heart. Try to live it.
Cease performing the serious sins,
especially those Jesus listed off today.
Give the world a few less reasons to call us
hypocrites.
ext 172
ext 120
Seek the Sacrament of Penance frequently
and be immersed in a life of prayer.
Never give up. Just keep showing up at the
church and in the lives of those in need
with great joy. When the world sees how
being a disciple of Jesus makes you less of a hypocrite, many hearts
will convert. ©2015 Life Teen, Inc. All rights reserved.
A cheerful giver does not count the cost of what
he gives. His heart is set on pleasing and
cheering the one to whom the gift is given. - St. Julian
How would you define hypocrisy?

Love Is Our Mission: The Family Fully Alive
Is the theme of the World Meeting of Families – Philadelphia 2015,
emphasizing the impact of the love and life of families on our society.
The World Meeting of Families is the world’s largest Catholic gathering
of families.
“The family which experiences the joy of faith communicates it
naturally. That family is the salt of the earth and the light of the world;
it is the leaven of society.” Pope Francis, October 27, 2013
Prayer of Anticipation
Pope Francis comes to our country in September. He will visit our
nation’s capital before attending the World Synod on the Family in
Philadelphia. This time coincides with the time when we shift into a
period of learning and change of routine in family life. As members of
the Church, we welcome the Pope’s presence among us. We celebrate
an opportunity to know that he is in our midst for a brief time. Yet, we
pray that, as leader of the Church, he will awaken in our minds and
hearts the importance of our faith in today’s society.
We pray that we will hunger for a deeper understanding of our faith as
we participate in programs and events in our parishes that increase
our knowledge of the Catholic faith and Church teachings.

PRIMER MISA DEL MES
SEPT, 4, 2015
@ 7:00pm en la Capilla de
Guadalupe
Oración de Padres y Madres
Orantes
Después de la Misa, todos son
Bienvenidos a la exposición del
Santísimo Sacramento y oraciones por
nuestros hijos.
©2015 Life Teen, Inc. All rights reserved.

CP&BC is kicking off another great year on Friday, September 11th, with
a thrilling speaker you won't want to miss!
Bear Woznick cannot be categorized as just an
athlete and an adventurer. His creed is “The most
radical thing that you can do in life is abandon
yourself to the wild adventure of God’s will.” He is a
novitiate oblate at the Benedictine Monastery on
O’ahu, he has a certificate in Catechesis, and his bishop gave his book
the Nihil Obstat. He is faithful to the magisterium of the Church. He
splits his time between his home in Waikiki and his getaway in Cocoa
Beach, FL in order to be more available for ministry opportunities. Bear
is a private pilot and holds the very rare Ninja black belt. He has run
with the bulls in Pamplona. He has pedaled his bicycle across the
United States from San Diego, CA to Jacksonville, FL. He has
rappelled out of his twenty fifth floor condo in Waikiki. He has paddled
his surfboard across the treacherous twenty weight mile channel
between the islands of Molokai and Oahu. He has surfed the twenty
four foot faces of big surf at Waimea Bay and other big wave spots. He
has surfed the tidal bore twenty miles up a river in Bordeaux France.
He skydives, spear fishes, paddles outrigger canoe, sails and rides his
Harley with the “Sons of Hawaii Motor Cycle Club.”
Please make your reservations early for this exciting breakfast!
