Con mucha preocupación hemos conocido la convocatoria del evento que han llamado
“CUARTO CAMPEONATO ANUAL DE PATINAJE PANAMERICANO DE CLUBES”, organizado por la
entidad que usted preside para, según dicha convocatoria, realizarse en Orlando, Florida (USA),
en enero del 2016. Sobre el particular debo aclararle varios aspectos para no pasar por encima
de las normas que rigen nuestro deporte a nivel internacional y, en este caso, en América.
Para que un evento tenga carácter de PANAMERICANO, debe contar con el AVAL de la CPRS y
hacer parte del calendario de eventos de dicha entidad, el cual es aprobado por la Asamblea
General.
En la Asamblea Electiva del Pasado 13 de julio en Toronto, Canadá, los presidentes de las
Federaciones afiliadas votaron por NO APROBAR el calendario que iba a ser presentado por el
Comité Ejecutivo saliente y se determinó presentar un proyecto de CALENDARIO ÚNICO DE
EVENTOS en la reunión próxima, la cual esperamos adelantar en diciembre del 2015.
Ni usted ni ninguno de los miembros de la USARS ha solicitado el AVAL de la CPRS para la
realización de dicho torneo, ni tampoco directamente a este servidor, como presidente de la
entidad, para poner en conocimiento de la CPRS sobre la intención de continuar con la
realización de dicho evento.
He conversado personalmente con el señor Sabatino Aracu, Presidente de FIRS, quien me
notificó que no existe ningún compromiso de FIRS para realizar dicho evento y que comparte
con nosotros la necesidad de contar con el consentimiento de la CPRS para realizar
campeonatos panamericanos de ninguna modalidad.

Una vez finalizada la Asamblea Electiva del pasado 13 de julio en Toronto, Canadá, donde
fuimos elegidos por aclamación para dirigir la CPRS durante el periodo 2015-2019, le expresé
que era necesario reunirnos para sentar las bases de una correcta realización de dicho
certamen y no de la forma como se ha hecho en los años anteriores donde la CPRS no ha tenido
un papel protagónico adecuado.
La USARS está en todo el derecho de organizar los eventos de clubes en suelo estadounidense,
puesto que este es su fin; pero la convocatoria de eventos de carácter PANAMERICANO
únicamente le complete a la CPRS.
Debido a esta convocatoria fuera de la programación de la CPRS, emitiremos un comunicado
oficial a todas las Federaciones afiliadas para que sean difundidas en sus respectivos países y
estemos todos enterados de la situación de ilegalidad que rodea dicho evento.
Hago de nuevo un llamado al trabajo en equipo, puesto que la USARS es una Federación
nacional muy importante para la CPRS, pero no podemos seguir funcionando como ruedas
sueltas, yendo en contravía del buen ambiente y el propósito de unión, fraternidad y amistad
que quedó sellado luego de Toronto 2015.
Espero que estas palabras sean tomadas de la mejor forma, como un llamado a unir esfuerzos,
y no como intensión de torpedear el trabajo realizado por la USARS. El éxito no nos sirve si lo
logramos sólo; únicamente se puede disfrutar cuando se comparte con quienes nos rodean.

Dear Danny,
We noted with concern the invitation for the event you have named 4th Annual PAN American
Roller Sports Championship of Clubs, organized by the institution you lead, which will be held
on January 2016 in Orlando, Florida (USA). Regarding this championship I must explain some
aspects you must take into account to avoid overlooking the international regulations of our
sport, and in this case, in America.
For this championship to be considered as PANAMERICAN it must have CPRS’ permission and it
must be in CPRS’ events timetable, which is approved by the General Assembly.
In the Elective Assembly held on July 13 in Toronto, Canada, the Presidents of all member
federations voted the non-approval of the schedule that was going to be presented by the
leaving Executive Committee. It was also determined presenting a project for a UNIQUE EVENTS
SCHEDULE in the next meeting, which we hope to hold on December 2015.
Neither you nor any USARS member has requested CPRS’ (or myself’s as its president)
permission for carrying out the aforementioned championship, to let us know your intention of
carrying out such event.
I have personally talked to Mr. Sabatino Aracu, FIRS’s President, who informed to me that there
is not a commitment from FIRS to carry out such event. Also, that he agrees that there must be
a permission granted by CPRS to carry out panamerican championships of any kind.
Once held the Elective Assembly on July 13 in Toronto, Canada, where we were gladly picked to
direct CPRS from 2015 to 2019, I told you that a meeting was necessary to agree on the
foundations to carry out such championship; unlike what has happened in past years, where
CPRS has not have an adequate main role.

USA Roller Sports Federation (USARS) is undoubtedly able to organize a championship of clubs
in its country, since that is its purpose. Yet, invitation to any PANAMERICAN events corresponds
only to CPRS.
Based on this invitation outside CPRS’ schedule, we will issue an official statement to all
member federations to be spread in their respective countries and for us to acknowledge the
illegal status of this event.
I again ask for teamwork, since USARS is a National Federation, quite important to CPRS. We
cannot continue to be loose wheels, rolling against the good environment and purpose of
union, fraternity, and friendship that was built after Toronto 2015.
I hope these words are received in the best way possible, as a request to unite forces and not as
intention to attack USARS’ work. Success is not useful when achieved alone. It can only be
enjoyed when shared with people around us.
