Roxsand Update L.G. EVERIST, INC. Rock Solid Since 1876 Carr Re-energized Carr, Colorado is a remote place. Despite it’s out-of-the-way location (six miles south of the Wyoming border and five miles east of I-25), LGE has built a thriving business thanks to our valued customers and capable managers. Our tenant, Plains All American Pipeline, is transloading crude oil via the Union Pacific Railroad to Gulf Coast refineries (the photos illustrate the scope of their operation). In addition, LGE is constructing a new transload facility. When completed, LGE and Halliburton (our new customer) will begin transloading frac sand – all in support of Niobrara Shale. LGE came to Carr for the first time in 1963 to produce materials for I-25 construction between Fort Collins and Cheyenne. We returned in 1989 to produce rock and sand for the Denver market via the Union Pacific Railroad. Plant production, shipping, reclamation and water issues were all skillfully managed by Jim Clubb. We remember Jim as one of the best leaders of his generation. Following in Jim’s footsteps, Rick Riley ably managed the Carr operation until its shutdown in 2008.
