The RCIA is a spiritual journey of FAITH … and CONVERSION
The RCIA is the process, established for the universal Church, for adults
to become Catholics and receive the Sacraments of Initiation – Baptism,
Confirmation and the Eucharist. The RCIA speaks of conversion as a “spiritual
journey”. The conversion is centered on fostering a deep relationship with Jesus
Christ and the Church he founded. The journey takes place through distinct
periods in which inquirers receive instructions on the faith (catechesis) and
experience life in a parish community and of her liturgy, worship and prayer.
During the Easter Vigil, those who have completed their spiritual preparation may
choose to receive the Sacraments of Christian Initiation, which are Baptism,
Confirmation and Eucharist.
Pre-RCIA / Inquiry Session is a drop-in Q&A session for anyone seeking to learn more about
Christianity and the Catholic faith, but uncertain about joining the Catholic Church. The RCIA Inquiry session
will be held on August 29, 2012 at 7:00 pm in the Wagner Room.
Do you have family members, relatives and / or friends who have never been baptized or
who have been baptized in a non-Catholic Christian tradition, as well as adult Catholics who have
not been confirmed? Invite them to the RCIA. Or why not accompany them? Walk with them.
Make a difference.
Please complete the contact form below and place it in the collection basket or mail to the parish
office. Thank you for helping us to invite those who might be interested in the Catholic Faith or to complete
their Christian Initiation.

Jesus fed the multitudes with bread and fish. He
feeds us with his Body and Blood in the Eucharist.
Many fed by the loaves and fishes misunderstood
the meaning of this miracle and wanted to make
Him king. As God’s Stewards, He showers us in our
giving with eternal riches. We look to Jesus as our
Savior and King who has revealed the way to
salivation and opened the way to eternal Life.
Thank you for your continued support of our ministries to the people of God.

This past June 13 & 14, our Youth Ministry offered a program to our incoming 8th graders called Live Out Loud. We partnered up
with the Youth Ministry at Christ the King to provide a two day mission experience of service projects to these junior high students.
We also had a fun time heading over to do some roller skating at the Lombard Roller Rink. Thanks to our three great junior high
