Dear Parents,
As we enter the month of April, our teachers and staff
continue to introduce and review rigorous academic skills and
content across all grade levels. With our Smarter Balance
testing beginning, it is imperative that our students are present
each day. During this testing window, please be sure to
support your students by having them at school on time each
morning, having had a good, nutritious breakfast, and wellrested from the night before. We thank you in advance for
your continued support as our students excel during our
Smarter Balance testing!

MAYOR’S CUP FUN RUN/WALK
AND ROOSEVELT FAMILIES
Come cheer our Roosevelt students and families at the
PEAR BLOSSOM RUN on Saturday, April 9th. It will begin at
the Justice Building (Oakdale & West 8th St.) at 7:30 a.m. A
bus will be leaving from Roosevelt at 7:00 am and loading
at 10:30 am to return to Roosevelt at 10:45 am. All parents
and students are invited to ride. Younger siblings may also
ride the bus with parent supervision. Any student
participating in the Pear Blossom Run will receive a Spirit
Stick.

Important News from Roosevelt
SPRING PICTURES
Students will have the opportunity to have their pictures taken on
Wednesday, March 30th. Only students who return their picture
envelopes with payment will have their picture taken on this day.

ALL-SCHOOL TALENT SHOW
In the Community
Roosevelt will be presenting our All-School Talent Show on Friday,
June 3, 2016. There will be two performances; one at 8:30 am for
our students and another performance for families at 1:30 pm.
Mark your calendars now and start preparing your special talent to
share!
We are fortunate to live in the
Rogue Valley where there are
many opportunities and
activities for our children.
SIXTH GRADE BOTTLE AND CAN DRIVE
Our 6th graders will be collecting bottles and cans to raise money
for their student body account. Start saving your bottles and cans
at home and then bring them in to the school during the week of
April 11-15. Pickups from your home will also be available. Watch
your Friday emails for more information.
LOST AND FOUND
Please check our “Lost and Found” rack by the school cafeteria.
Many jackets, sweatshirts, hats and misc. items are being
collected. All items left on the rack after April 15th will be donated
to a local charity. Thank you!
GRADING DAY AND CONFERENCE DAY
There will be NO SCHOOL for students on April 8th. This is a
districtwide grading day for teachers. There will also be NO
SCHOOL for students on April 18th. This is our Parent-Teacher
Conference Day. More information will be sent home in your
student’s Friday Folder.

Estimados Padres,
Al entrar en el mes de abril, nuestros maestros y personal
siguen introduciendo y revisando los contenidos y habilidades
académicas rigurosas de todos los grados. A medida en que
se inicia nuestras pruebas ‘Smart Balance’, es imperativo que
nuestros estudiantes están presentes cada día. Durante este

Venga a porrear a nuestros estudiantes aquí en Roosevelt
durante PEAR BLOSSOM RUN el Sábado, 9 de Abril.
Empezará en el Edificio Justice Building (Oakdale y West
8th St.) a las 7:30 a.m. El autobús saldrá de Roosevelt a las
7:00 am y carga a las 10:30 am para regresar a Roosevelt
a las 10:45 am. Invitamos a los padres y los estudiantes a
que lo utilicen. Los hermanitos pequeños pueden

Noticias Importantes de Roosevelt
FOTOS DE PRIMAVERA
Los estudiantes tendrán la oportunidad de tener sus fotografías
tomadas el miércoles 30 de marzo. Sólo los estudiantes que
regresan sus sobres de fotos con el pago, tendrán su foto
tomada en este día.

CONCURSO DE TALENTOS DE TODA LA ESCUELA
Roosevelt tendrá una presentación de talento el viernes 3 de

estudiantes y otra actuación para las familias a las 1:30 pm. ¡Marque su
calendario ahora y comenzar a preparar su talento especial para

COLECTA DE BOTELLAS y LATAS
Nuestros alumnos de 6º grado estarán recolectando botellas y latas
para recaudar dinero para su cuenta alumnado. Empecen a guardar
sus botellas y latas en casa y luego llévalos a la escuela durante la
semana de 11-15 de abril. También proporcionaremos colecta desde
su casa. Mire sus correos electrónicos de viernes para más
información.
OFINA DE OBJETOS PERDIDOS
Por favor, visite nuestro estante "Lost and Found" por la cafetería de la escuela.
