Language Arts and Literacy will impact your child’s K-12 learning
experiences at school. Understand key features of the
Standards, how they will be assessed, and what your child can do
to prepare for them. Learn about additional academic support
strategies and activities that will support your child’s success in
literacy.
Workshop Topics
 Review key features of the Common Core State Standards for
English Language Arts/Literacy;
 Understand how the Common Core State Standards will
impact your child’s learning;
 Learn how the new English Language Arts assessment system
will measure your child’s reading skills and how you can help
support him/her;
 Practice strategies that can enhance your child’s English
Language Arts and Literacy skill development.

implementation by all states of the Common Core Standards.

Estándares Estatales
Comunes de la Lengua y
Literatura en Ingles
Aprenda como los Estándares Estatales Comunes de la Lengua y
Literatura en Ingles impactara el aprendizaje de sus hijos en los
grados K-12. Obtendrá entendimiento sobre las funciones
claves sobre los Estándares, como serán evaluados, y lo que su
hijo/a puede hacer para prepararse. Aprenda sobre estrategias
de apoyo académicas y actividades que apoyan el éxito de su
hijo/a en la lectura.
Temas del Taller
 Repaso de las funciones claves de los Estándares Estatales
Comunes de la Lengua y Literatura en ingles;
 Obtendrá conocimiento de como los Estándares impactaran
el aprendizaje de su hijo/a ;
 Aprenderá como la nueva evaluación de Estándares
Comunes de la Lengua y Literatura en Ingles medirá el nivel
de lectura y como puede usted apoyar a sus hijo/a en esta
área.
 Practicara estrategias que apoyan el desarrollo de las
habilidades de los Estándares Estatales Comunes de la
Lengua y Literatura en Ingles.
La organización PTA a nivel nacional apoya con entusiasmo la
adaptación y aplicación de los Estañares Académicos parar todos los
estados.
