It’s a Small World After All: Global Citizenship Education Series
Session 1: Introduction/Communication & Information
Discussion leaders will use this initial session as an opportunity
to introduce participants to the concept of global citizenship: a
mindset influenced by the interconnectivity of the various
levels of modern society (individual, family, town/city,
country, etc.) and the resulting impact on individual and
communal concerns, responsibilities, and culture. Based on the
literature, discussion leaders will also encourage participants to
consider the meaning of communication, its various forms, and
its significance in society.

Preschool Bibliographies
Below are the books that should be used with the PRIME TIME Preschool program. Preschool facilitators
working with Family Reading Time programs should receive 8 copies of each title listed. Preschool books
for Family Reading Time programs are sometimes shipped along with those being used in the 6 to 10 year old
session. Preschool facilitators should request the preschool books from the program coordinator when the book
shipment arrives. Program coordinators must include the preschool books in beginning and end of program
book inventories.
