Your cellular shade is designed for many years of
trouble-free operation. Following these instructions
will help you get the most from your investment.
Hook the pull ring on the shade with the wand and pull
the center rail to the desired position.
CAUTION: Avoid excessive downward pull on the ring.
Excessive downward force will cause the support wires
to stretch, requiring additional adjustment.
Read all installation instructions before you
begin!
• Make sure that you have all tools and
hardware needed for installation.
• Check the installation surface (wall,
ceiling, or window frame) to ensure that
you have suitable fasteners and tools for
the material.
• Double check the headrail and shade
for proper width and length. If you are
installing several sets of shades, be sure to
match them with the appropriate skylight.
• Check the parts list shipped with the product
to confirm that you have the correct number
of brackets.
• Purchasing extra or replacement parts

Brand label removal:
• Peel back the label slowly.
• Do not use a sharp instrument to remove the label;
it may scratch the surface of the shade.

Care and cleaning
The tools you will need for installing your shade
will vary, depending on the installation surface,
and mounting bracket type.
Tools typically used for installation include:
• Center rail does not stay in position – There is not
enough tension on the cords. To increase tension, pull the
cords by hooking your finger through the loop made by the
tied-off cords.
• Center rail is difficult to move – There is too much tension on
the cords. To reduce tension, hook your finger through the
loop made by the tied-off cords and pull toward the center of
the skylight. This unlocks the cord lock and reduces tension
on the cords. Be careful not to pull the cords down toward
the room.
• The shade does not move squarely – The tension on the
cords is not equal from left to right. To equalize the cord
tension, hook your finger through the loop made by the
tied-off cords. Pull the cords toward the center of the
skylight to unlock the cord lock. Then retension the cords
by pulling on the loop Be careful not to pull the cords down
toward the room.
Once you are satisfied with the shade tension, cut the excess
cord below the knot and hide the cord loop behind the headrail.

Mark the headrail mounting

• Make sure that the skylight casing has a minimum
depth of 5/8” to ensure sufficient clearance.
• Use a pencil to mark bracket locations 2” in from
each end of the headrail. Space any remaining
mounting brackets evenly between the ends, no
more than 30” apart.
• With a pencil, mark the mounting screw locations
through the holes of the bracket. Use a level to
ensure bracket alignment.
NOTE: For the headrail to fit flush with the wall and
inside the molding around the skylight, the sill depth
must be greater than 23⁄8” (21⁄8” for 7/16” and 9/16”
cell sizes).

• Using pencil marks as a guide, start the screw
hole by pre-drilling a 1/16” pilot hole (wood and
metal mounting surfaces only).
• Hold bracket with surface marked “top” facing
up. Holding bracket in place, secure with
screws, two screws per bracket.
• Repeat for each bracket.
• Use a level to confirm brackets are level.

• Do NOT remove the rubber bands on the shade
at this time.
• Hook the rear lip of the headrail on the mounting
bracket spring tab.
• While pushing back against the bracket, rotate
the front of the headrail upward to engage the
top locking tab of the mounting bracket. The
shade will easily snap onto the bracket.
• Remove banding from the shade.
Adjust guide wire tension
• Unroll the bottom rail until the guide wires and
cords are fully extended.
IMPORTANT: The guide wires must be taut when the
bottom rail is fully extended without putting excessive
pull on the headrail. Use the turnbuckle to lengthen or
shorten the guide wires, if needed.

Install the bottom rail
• Hold the bottom rail in the desired mounting
location on the skylight casing, making sure it is
and level and centered. NOTE: For a flush fit, the
sill depth must be greater 15⁄8”.
• Using a pencil, mark the location of the two
EMPTY mounting holes (with no strings or wires)
as shown below.

Cuidado y limpieza
Cómo hacer funcionar sus persianas

Enganche la anilla en la persiana con la vara y empuje el riel
central a la posición deseada.
PRECAUCION: Evite tirar de la anilla hacia abajo. Ejercer

cordón. Para ajustar la tensión,
ate los cordones juntos formando

y siga las instrucciones que
se indican a continuación:
Las herramientas que necesitará para instalar las persianas
pueden variar según la superficie de instalación y el tipo
de soporte de montaje.
Las herramientas que generalmente se utilizan para realizar
la instalación son:
• El riel central no se queda fijo. Los cordones no están
suficientemente tensos. Para aumentar la tensión, tire de
los cordones enganchando su dedo a través del lazo que
se formó con los cordones atados.
• El riel central es difícil de mover. Los cordones están
muy tensos. Para reducir la tensión, enganche su dedo
a través del lazo que se formó con los cordones atados
y tire hacia el centro del tragaluz. Esto destraba el cordón
y reduce la tensión de los cordones. Tenga cuidado y no
tire de los cordones hacia la habitación.
• Las persianas no se mueven en forma pareja. La tensión
de los cordones no es igual en la izquierda y en la derecha.
Para aumentar la tensión del cordón, enganche su dedo
a través del lazo que se formó con los cordones atados.
Tire de los cordones hacia el centro del tragaluz para
destrabar la traba del cordón. Luego, vuelva a tensionar
los cordones tirando del lazo. Tenga cuidado y no tire
de los cordones hacia la habitación.
Una vez que esté satisfecho con la tensión de la persiana,
corte el exceso de cordón debajo del nudo y esconda el lazo
detrás del cortinero.

Marque las ubicaciones del soporte

• Asegúrese de que el marco del tragaluz tenga una
profundidad mínima de 1,58 cm para garantizar un
espacio suficiente.
• Utilice un lápiz para marcar las ubicaciones del soporte,
a 2,54 cm de cada extremo del cortinero. Separe los
soportes restantes en forma pareja entre los extremos,
a no más de 76,2 cm de distancia.
• Con un lápiz, marque las ubicaciones de los tornillos de
montaje, a través de los agujeros del soporte. Utilice un
nivel para garantizar que los soportes estén alineados.
NOTA: Para que el cortinero encaje a ras de la pared y dentro
de la moldura que rodea al tragaluz, la profundidad de la solera
debe ser de más de 6,03 cm (5,39 cm para celdas de1, 11 cm
y 1,48 cm).

• NO extraiga las bandas de goma de la persiana
en este momento.
• Enganche el borde posterior del cortinero sobre
la lengüeta de resorte del soporte de montaje.
• Mientras empuja el soporte hacia atrás, gire el
frente del cortinero hacia arriba para enganchar
la lengüeta de traba superior del soporte de
montaje. La persiana encajará fácilmente sobre
el soporte.
• Extraiga las bandas de la persiana.
Ajuste la tensión del alambre guía
• Desenrolle el riel inferior hasta que los alambres
guía y los cordones estén totalmente extendidos.
IMPORTANTE: Los alambres guía deben estar tirantes
cuando el riel inferior está totalmente extendido sin
ejercer presión excesiva sobre el cortinero. Si es
necesario, utilice el tensor para alargar o acortar los
alambres guía.
Instale el riel inferior
• Mantenga el riel inferior en la ubicación de montaje
deseada, sobre el marco del tragaluz, y asegúrese
de que esté centrado y a nivel. NOTA: Para que la
instalación sea a ras, la profundidad de la solera
debe ser de más de 4,12 cm.
• Utilice un lápiz y marque la ubicación de dos agujeros
de montaje VACIOS (sin cordón ni alambres) como
se muestra a continuación.
