Peter & Paul Cathedral Saint Thomas, Virgin Islands evangelization & spirituality PRAYER FOR PRIESTS MOST HOLY TRINITY SUNDAY Trinity Sunday is the Sunday after Pentecost, and it celebrates the most Holy Trinity, one God in three persons. Let us Pray [to the one God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit that our lives may bear witness to our faith] O Jesus, Eternal Priest, keep your priests within the shelter of Your Sacred Heart, where none may touch them. Keep unstained their anointed hands, which daily touch Your Sacred Body. Keep unsullied their lips, daily purple with your Precious Blood. Keep pure and unearthly their hearts, sealed with the sublime mark of the priesthood. Father, you sent your Word to bring us truth and your Spirit to make us holy. Let your holy love surround them and shield them from the world’s contagion. Through them we come to know the mystery of your life. Help us to worship you, one God in three Persons, by proclaiming and living our faith in you. We ask you this, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God, true and living, for ever and ever. Amen. Bless their labors with abundant fruit and may the souls to whom they minister be their joy and consolation here and in heaven, their beautiful and everlasting crown. Amen. CHRISTIAN STEWARDSHIP We seek no “REWARDS” for our stewardship; we do it with the JOY OF SERVING GOD. Yet we know that God does reward stewards by filling their needs in life; by giving new opportunities to care, to share, to participate in the wholeness of life. Stewardship is the responsibility of the Christian life, making our prayers, worship, study of the Scriptures, Christian action truly sincere. So, our whole life is a partnership with God.
