2ND SUNDAY OF LENT
SECOND COLLECTION
This Weekend, February 20-21, 2016, the second collection will be to help us offset the fuel costs during the winter
months. Thank you for your support and continuous help.
MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
Next weekend, the Second Collection is for our Maintenance
& Repair Collection. These funds help with the r epair and
restoration of the parish buildings. Thank you for your generosity
and support.
LENT RETREAT
We invite our Spanish community to attend a Lent Retreat in
which Fr. Jorge Patricio Montoya will help us to get ready
for Lent. Fr. Montoya, among other 1,110 priests, has being
chosen by the Holy Father, Pope Francis, as a Commissioner of Mercy.
DATE: Tuesday 23rd, Wednesday 24th and Thursday
25th of February, 2016.
TIME: 7:00pm

Este fin de semana, 20-21 de Febrero del 2016, la segunda colecta nos ayudará a cubrir los gastos del aceite durante

MATENIMIENTO Y REPARACIÓN
El próximo fin de semana, la Segunda Colecta es par a el
“Mantenimiento & Restauración”. Esta colecta ayuda con la
reparación y restauración de los edificios de la parroquia. Agradecemos su generosidad y ayuda.
RETIRO DE CUARESMA
Invitamos a nuestra comunidad Hispana participar del Retiro de
Cuaresma en el cual P. Jorge Patricio Montoya nos ayudará a
reflexionar y a orar en preparación de la Cuaresma con motivo
del Año Jubilar de la Misericordia. Padre Montoya, ha sido escogido por el Papa Francisco para ser uno de los más de 1.110 sacerdotes comisionados a nivel mundial como Misioneros de la
Misericordia.

BEREAVEMENT PROGRAM
Blessed Sacrament Church is pleased to announce the formation of a Bereavement Program “From the Heart”. The
program will provide (in Spanish) an Outreach Day on “Loss,
Grief and Recovery” and workshops. Call the Rectory Office
at 1-718-639-3888 to provide your information and someone
call you back to register.

are parishioners of Blessed Sacrament Church and because of
that reason are parking their cars, even overnight, in the School
Parking Lot. We want to inform you that PARISHIONERS OF
BLESSED SACRAMENT CHURCH, CAN NOT PARK IN
THAT SPACE SINCE IT BELONGS TO THE NEW YORK
CITY-BOARD OF EDUCATION. We are not authorizing anybody to park in that side, except on weekends during Mass.
Please be aware of this, if you park there, your car will be towed
away by the City of New York. In order to avoid any further
inconvenient, we are asking you to please cooperate with us.
Thank you for your understanding and help in this matter.

Blessed Sacrament Reaches 30% of Minimum Diocesan Goal!
Total secured pledges to date: $319,650
Thanks to the generosity of our families to date, we have secured pledges for nearly a
third of our parish’s minimum goal for Generations of Faith!
Generations of Faith Parish Projects:
 External Church Repairs needed
 Electrical Upgrades
 Rectory Roof Replacement
If we can exceed our minimum goal of $950,000. We will receive 50% of the funds raised
up to this goal and 75% of funds raised over the target. If we exceed 125% of our goal,
we will then receive 100% of all funds raised above this figure.
What’s Next for Generations of Faith at Blessed Sacrament
and How Can You Help?
1. Our parish committee has been reaching out to parishioners to explain
details about the campaign; if you are contacted, please respond
warmly and accept their call as you would a call from the parish.
2. If you have received campaign materials, and are currently praying on
your decision, please return your pledge card to the parish office or in
the collection basket.
3. Please continue to pray for the success of this important initiative.

Total de compromisos garantizados hasta la fecha: $$319,650

de casi un tercio de la meta de nuestra parroquia para las Generaciones de Fe!
