La Palabra de Dios:
Perspectiva:
Como en el evangelio de hoy, donde Jesús
describe la muy humana realidad de despreciar
al ‘otro’, nosotros como miembros de
diferentes naciones, podríamos haber
despreciado a nuestros países y regiones
vecinas y a sus gentes.
Todos podemos acordar que estas situaciones
deben terminar, pero nos toca mirarnos entre
nosotros por lo que somos, sin exclusiones,
como camino de construcción de una familia.
Si progresamos en esta visión evangélica, le
podemos decir al mundo que sí se pueden
formar relaciones humanas diferentes, donde
el este y oeste, el norte y sur solo sean
divisiones del pasado. Esta es la gran misión
que Jesús nos propone, mucho más en este
mes dedicado a las misiones.
Perspective:
As in the gospel today where Jesus describes
the very human reality of looking down at
the ‘other’, we, as members of different nations, may have looked down at our
neighboring country, regions and peoples.
We may agree that those things have to stop,
but we got to look at each other for what we
are and to include each other as the way to
building one family.
If we progress in this gospel vision, we can
tell the world to shape a different way of relationships, where east and west or north
and south divisions may be matters of the
past. That is a great mission to accept from
Jesus, particularly in this Missionary month
of October.
