But with you is found forgiveness, O God of Israel.” Psalm 130:3-4 Twenty-Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time The gospel of today lets us know that the kingdom of heaven may be likened to a wedding feast. The invitation to the feast makes us enter into the dynamic of the New Covenant in Jesus. Accepting the invitation means we say “Yes.” “Yes” to the personal love of God for us. It also means we` say “Yes” to the Gospel. That way we open the door to the Lord who invites himself to enter in us, to give a new meaning and a new horizon to our life. Many people are not aware they are invited, or maybe they think they are not part of the adventure. What can we do to convince them? All of us are invited to enter in the life Jesus proposes, to make alliance with him, and welcome the love of God. Pope Francis reminds us that the gospel is transmitted by attraction, and not by proselytism. Does our life, personal and inside the community, give the reflection of the unlimited love of God for us. Jesus again spoke to the elders in parable: “The kingdom of heaven may be likened to a king who gave a wedding feast. He dispatched his servants to summon the guests, but they refused. Again he sent others to say ‘Behold, I have prepared my banquet and everything is ready.’ Some ignored the invitation and went away. Others laid hold of the servants and killed them. The king was enraged and sent his troops to destroy those murderers. Then he said to his servants, ‘The feast is ready. Go out into the roads and invite to the feast whomever you find.’ They went out into the streets and gathered all they found, bad and good alike and the hall was filled with guests.” Schedule of Masses and Sacraments WEEKEND Saturday: SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION 12 Noon (English) 5:30 PM Vigil (English) Sunday Masses: 8:00 AM (English) 10:00 AM (Spanish) 11:30 AM (English) 1:00 PM (French) DAILY Monday - Wednesday - Friday 12 Noon -English Tuesday - Thursday 9:00 AM - Spanish 12 Noon - English Every Monday Miraculous Medal Novena and Benediction after Noon Mass.
