Visiting Rotarian, Gene Gengel, from Lake Placid, NY, told us about his club.
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Cheryl reminded us that the Wheat Ridge Rotary Club has graciously invited our club, plus any guests to the Mutual of Omaha’s Wild
Kingdom Luncheon Event at the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center tomorrow.

Cheryl also mentioned the District Membership Seminar on May 18 , that she and Agnes will attend, and also noted the upcoming
District Assembly in June (see attached flyer that Jo also sent to members last week).
LUNCH
SPEAKERS: Nathan Richie talked about the Golden History Museums. These include the Astor House Museum, the Golden History
Center, and the Clear Creek History Park. This very active organization has summer programs for children, the Golden Music Festial, a

Black & White Night on October 12 , the Night at the Museum, and the Candlelight Walk in partnership with other Golden
organizations. They also have an online photo collection and do Classroom Outreach to children across the state. See the attached
