Estimado Miembro IEEE:
Luego de varios años participando activamente dentro de la
directiva, es un placer el saludarte como Presidente del IEEE,
Sección Puerto Rico y Caribe, sociedad técnica profesional más
grande del mundo, cuya misión es promover la innovación
tecnológica para el desarrollo de sus miembros.
Por la presente, deseamos darte la más cordial bienvenida
como miembro de la IEEE, siendo parte fundamental del
proceso de formación de las comunidades de la electro
tecnología. Tu respaldo como miembro apoya nuestro lema
“Vinculando al Mundo”, a fin de contribuir con el desarrollo
profesional a nivel mundial.
En nuestra meta de crecer como organización, se ha
promovido el Programa de Membresía, en el cual el profesional
puede asociarse a la IEEE bajo una categoría específica,
acorde con su formación y experiencia profesional. Entre las
categorías de membresía, destacan: “Student Member”,
“Member”, “Associate”, “Senior Member”, “Fellow Member” y
“Life Member”.
Este año 2014, nuestra Sección Puerto Rico y Caribe, le honra
celebrar su 50 aniversario, así como 25 años de trayectoria de
lo que constituye la Sección Puerto Rico Oeste, en la nuestra
Isla. Como parte de dicha conmemoración, llevaremos a cabo
una jornada de eventos y actividades técnicas para beneficio
de todos.
Igualmente, estaremos realizando un esfuerzo
especial por incrementar nuestra membresía de “Senior
Member”, por lo que les invitamos a someter candidatos.

After several years actively participating within the directive,
it is a pleasure to greet you as President of the IEEE, Puerto
Rico and Caribbean Section, largest professional technical
society in the world, whose mission is to promote
technological innovation for the development of its
members.
Hereby, we want to give you the warmest welcome as a
member of the IEEE, being an essential part of the process
of formation of the electro technology communities. In
order to contribute with the professional development
around the world, your support as a member, supports our
slogan "Connecting the world".
In our goal to grow as an organization, we have been
promoting the membership program, in which professionals
may be associated with the IEEE under a specific category,
in accordance with their training and professional
experience.
The categories of membership include:
"Student Member", "Member", "Associate", "Senior Member",
"Fellow Member" and "Life Member".
This year 2014, our section Puerto Rico and Caribbean, is
honor to celebrate its 50th anniversary, as well as 25 years of
experience of what constitutes the Western Puerto Rico
Section, in our Island. As part of this commemoration, we will
carry out a series of events and technical activities in benefit
of all. Also, we will be making a special effort to increase our
"Senior Member" membership, thus we invite you to submit
candidates.
