4.2- Números de 1 a 1,000
Numerals from 1 to 1,000
Nota: El adulto escribirá los números de tres dígitos en tarjetas.
Note: The adult will write the three-digit numbers on cards.
4.2.1 Nombrar y Ordenar Centenas
Materiales: Tarjetas con numerales de multiplos 100 (100, 200, 300, …)
Actividades:
1- Coloque las tarjetas de las centenas en orden numérico. Diga cada número comenzando
en 100. Pida a los niños que repitan cada número, empezando por 100, a medida que el
maestro va señalando cada tarjeta.
2- Tome tarjetas de 100 a 500 y mézclelas. Pida a los niños que coloquen las tarjetas en
orden empezando por 100. Después de colocarlas en orden los niños deben nombrar cada
número. Repetir con tarjetas de 600-1000.Repetir con todas las tarjetas de 100 a 1000.
3- Coloque las tarjetas boca abajo en forma ordenada. Voltee el número 300. Pregunte al
niño qué tarjeta viene después(400), y qué tarjeta estará antes. (200). Pregunte que
numero esta en el lugar del 600. Cada vez que el niño diga una respuesta, debe mirar la
tarjeta para comprobar su respuesta. Voltee boca abajo todas las tarjetas y trabaje con
otros números. Repita la actividad utilizando todos los números desde el 100 hasta el
1000.
4.2.1 Sequencing and naming Hundreds
Materials: Hundreds cards (100, 200, 300, …)
Activities:
1- Place hundreds cards in order. Say each number to 100. Ask child to repeat numbers,
starting with 100, as you point to each one. Take cards 100-500 and mix them up. Ask the
child to put the cards in order starting with 100. After they are put in order, ask child to say
each number. Repeat with cards 600-1000. Repeat with all cards 100 to 1000.
2- Place cards face down in order from 100-1000. Flip over 300. Ask child to tell you what
card will be after (400), and what card will be before (200). Point to the card for 600 and
ask what number it is. After each answer, the child should look at the card to check his
answer. Flip all cards over again and repeat with different number. Repeat and use all
numbers from 100-1000.

Materials: arrow cards
Activities:
1- Place out arrow cards for 200, 40, and 6. Tell the child to put the cards together to make a
3-digit number. Ask child what the number is. Repeat with other sets of similar cards.
2- Place out arrow cards for 700 and 40. Tell the child to put the cards together to make a 3digit number. Ask child what the number is. Repeat with other sets of similar cards.
3- Place out arrow cards for 500, and 2. Tell the child to put the cards together to make a 3digit number. Ask child what the number is. Repeat with other sets of similar cards.

Actividades:
1- Saque las tarjetas con los dígitos 3,5,7. El niño coloca las tarjetas juntas para formar un
número de 3 dígitos. Pregúnte al niño qué número es. Haga que los niños reorganicen los
números y pregúnteles qué números son (varias veces).
2- Haga que los niños escojan tres tarjetas diferentes y formen un número de 3 cifras. Luego
pída al niño que diga el nombre del número creado. Mezcle las mismas tres tarjetas para
crear un nuevo número de 3 dígitos. Repetir varias veces para crear distintos numeros
utilizando las mismas tres tarjetas.
4.2.3 Naming 3-digit numerals using digit cards
Materials: digit cards
Activites:
1- Place out digit cards 3, 5, 7. Put the cards together to make a 3-digit number. Ask child
what the number is. Have child rearrange the numbers and ask what number it is. Repeat
several times by mixing up the cards.
2- Have child choose 3 different digit cards to make a number with. After each number is
made, the child says the number. Mix up the cards to make a new number.

Materiales: Tarjetas de números (3 dígitos) que vayan de 10 en 10
Actividad
Comience con las tarjetas que van de 10 en 10 empezando del 610 al 700 (610, 620,
630…700). Haga que el niño organice las tarjetas de izquierda a derecha y diga cada número.
Repita la actividad con tarjetas del 360 al 450. Repita con otras tarjetas, por ejemplo de 360 a
450 (cruzando la centena).

Materials: 3-digit tens numeral cards, 3-digit numeral cards
Activity
Begin with tens numeral cards from 610-700 (610, 620, 630…700). Have child put the cards in
order from left to right and read each number. Repeat with cards from 360-450.
Repeat with other cards.

Activity
Use 3-digit cards (207, 217,…, 297) and place numbers in random order. Have the child put
the cards in order from left to right and read each number. Repeat with other cards such as
362, 372, 282…452, and 46, 146, 246…946.

Actividad
Use tarjetas de 3 dígitos (98, 201, 410, 905) en diferente orden. El niño debe organizar las

Use 3-digit cards (98, 201, 410, 905) and place numbers in random order. Have the child put
the cards in order from left to right and read each number. Repeat with other set of cards.

Actividad
1- Colocar sobre la mesa las tarjetas de múltiplos de 2 en orden creciente. Cuente con el niño
de 2 en 2 hasta 20, señalando la tarjeta.
2- Repetir ahora contando hacia atrás desde 20.
3- Colocar las tarjeta boca abajo y hacer que el niño cuente en orden creciente, dando vuelta
cada tarjeta una vezo que dice el número.
4- Colocar las tarjeta boca abajo y hacer que el niño cuente en orden decreciente, dando
vuelta cada tarjeta una vezo que dice el número.
5- Repetir con múltiplos de 3, 5, y 10.
4.2.7 Sequencing of multiples
Materials: cards with multiples of 2, 3, 5, and 10
Multiples of 2: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20
Multiples of 3: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30
Multiples of 5: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50
Multiples of 10: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100
Activity
1- Place on the table multiples of 2 to 20. Have the child say the name of the numbers counting
by 2s up to 20.
2- Have the child count backwards by 2s from 20.
3- Turn the cards face down. Now have the child count up to 20 verifying by turning over each
card as he says the number.
4- Turn the cards face down. Now have the child count back from 20 verifying by turning over
each card as he says the number.
5- Repeat with multiples of 3, 5, and 10.
