THEPRESIDENT:Goodafternoon.Today,theUnitedStatesofAmerica
ischangingitsrelationshipwiththepeopleofCuba.Inthemostsignificant
changesinourpolicyinmorethanfiftyyears,wewillendanoutdatedapproach
that,fordecades,hasfailedtoadvanceourinterests,andinsteadwewillbeginto
normalizerelationsbetweenourtwocountries.Throughthesechanges,weintend
tocreatemoreopportunitiesfortheAmericanandCubanpeople,andbeginanew
chapteramongthenationsoftheAmericas.There’sacomplicatedhistorybetween
theUnitedStatesandCuba.

SincetheWhiteHouseannouncement,therehasbeenaflurryofinterestamongUScitizenstotravelto
