OMEL DIVERSIFICACION HOLDS THE SIXTH AUCTION FOR THE
PURCHASE OF NATURAL GAS FOR THE OPERATION CORRESPONDING
TO THE PERIOD FALLING BETWEEN 1 JULY 2012 AND 30 JUNE 2013.
OMEL Diversificación held the sixth auction for the purchase of natural of
operating gas.
The total amount of gas auctioned was allocated in 20 blocks, each one
corresponding to the 5% of the total to be supplied for the period running from 1
July 2012 to 30 June 2013. The price of the auctioned gas was set at 32.31
€/MWh, being awarded to:





EGL ENERGÍA IBERIA, S.L.
E.ON GENERACION, S.L.
GAS NATURAL COMERCIALIZADORA, S.A.
IBERDROLA GENERACION, S.A.U.
NATURGAS ENERGÍA COMERCIALIZADORA S.A.U.
The auction was held by electronic means using OMIE’s auction software
system. A “descending clock auction” procedure was used, whereby starting
with a given opening price, this was progressively knocked down in successive
rounds of bidding until a balance was struck between supply and demand.
