Presenter/ Facilitators: Beckie Masaki & Sarah Khan, Asian Pacific Institute on Gender-Based

OVW Cultural and Linguistic Specific Services Programs (CLSSP) are meaningful
representations of "Building the Power of the Margins!" Your organizations work at the
intersections of multiple, layered issues, work on immediate crises, as well as prevention and
social, cultural change in survivors, families, communities, and institutions.
How do we move intersectional programs from being at the margins of "mainstream" work to
being valued, understood, and centered in the work? There is growing awareness and turning
tides that can build a stronger, more inclusive, diverse, and powerful movement to end violence
against women, girls, and all gender identities and communities.
