The Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ
“Pastor’s Weekend Message”
“He fed them with the finest wheat and satisfied
them with honey from the rock” (Psalm 81:17).
Today is the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood
of Christ. This week, we are encouraged by our Sunday
Readings to “keep the faith”. The gift of “faith” has been
given to us as a community to become a “family of many
families”. We also recognize that our “faith” as a family
is best expressed and recognized in and through our own
worship and liturgical celebrations like today’s – Corpus
Christi. Three immediate words come to mind when celebrating this Solemnity: (a) Covenant, (b) Sacrifice and a
(c) Sacred Meal. All readings speak of God’s Presence.
God formed a Covenant with a People, and so we are His
People under the “New Covenant”- all thanksgiving and
praise be to Jesus for a New Life. We also remember the
great and lasting Sacrifice of the Lamb of God, Jesus,
who brought us salvation through the Paschal Mystery.
We also celebrate and believe that the Present Lord still
feeds us as we partake of the Sacred Meal and Blessing
offered during our Eucharist every Sunday. Today, as we
celebrate God’s Presence, the most Holy Body and Blood
of Christ, in our community, we ask for the continual outpouring of the Holy Spirit to all Holy Family’s members
and parishioners. We need to support, help and pray for
one another. We thank God for the progress achieved in
our new Holy Family property on 4524 Tully Road. Let
us also keep in prayer all those who are seriously ill, hospitalized and also all families who suffer the loss of a
loved one: we are the mystical body of Christ. May all
God’s Covenant promises, Holy Sacrifice and Holy Eucharist be a blessing of hope and healing for all those in
need. As “a Family of many families” let us continue
“Building Our Future Together.” Keep the faith. In Christ
our Eucharist.

“Mensaje Pastoral del Parroco”
“Alimento’ a su pueblo con lo mejor del trigo y
lo sacio con miel sacada de la roca” (Salmo 80, 17).
Hoy celebramos la Solemnidad del Cuerpo y la Sangre
del Señor. Esta semana, nos alimentamos por las lecturas
dominicales, pues nos dicen, “manténganse en la fe”. El
don de la “fe” se nos ha dado para formar una comunidad
y ser “una familia de muchas familias”. Nuestra fe se
muestra mejormente por medio de nuestra adoración y
celebración litúrgica – el Corpus Christi. Con esta solemnidad, tres palabras inmediatamente vienen en mente: (a)
Alianza, (b) Sacrificio y (c) Banquete Sagrado. Las tres
revelan la Presencia de Dios. Primero, Dios formo la
Alianza con su Pueblo; hoy somos su Pueblo bajo la
Nueva Alianza – sean dadas las gracias y adoración a Jesús por esta Nueva Vida de Alianza. Segundo, también
recordamos el Sacrificio tan grande y perdurable de Jesús
el Cordero de Dios, quien nos salvó por medio del Misterio Pascual. Tercero, sin faltar también celebramos y
creemos que la Presencia del Señor aun nos alimenta
cuando participamos del Sagrado Banquete y Bendición
ofrecida en nuestra Eucaristía Dominical. En suma, celebramos la Presencia de Dios en nuestra comunidad, y
pedimos que continuamente el Espíritu Santo llene todos
los corazones de la Sagrada Familia. Oremos también por
nuestro futuro parroquial. A hoy, hemos obtenido una
nueva propiedad después de seis largos años. Esta esta’
en el 4524 Tully Road. También mantengamos en nuestra
oración a todos los enfermos, hospitalizados y incluyamos a los que sufren la pérdida de un ser querido. Apoyen y amen a los que tienen cáncer. Que esta semana, todas las promesas de la Alianza, Santo Sacrificio y la Santa Eucaristía sea una bendición de esperanza y sanación
para todos los necesitados. En suma todo nos llama a que
nos “mantengámonos en la fe”. Como una “Familia de
muchas familias” sigamos “Construyendo Nuestro Futuro
Junto”.

IMPORTANCIA DE VESTIR APROPIADAMENTE
Con el calor que ya comienza, tenemos que recordar la
importancia de vestir apropiadamente en la casa de
Dios. Por favor eviten usar vestidos muy cortos, muy escotados o cualquier otro atuendo inmodesto que no cubre
la espalda. Pedimos que los hombres eviten usar shorts o
camisetas sin mangas. Gracias por mostrar su respeto a
nuestro Señor, nuestros Sacerdotes y Feligreses.
APPROPRIATELY DRESSING FOR MASS
As the hot weather starts, we must remember to dress
appropriately in the house of God. Please avoid using
very low cut or very short dresses. This includes short
skirts and shorts or any other immodest attire that does
not cover the back. We ask that the men avoid wearing
shorts or tank tops. Please show respect to our Lord.

PARISH PICNIC—NEXT SUNDAY, JUNE 14TH
Our Parish picnic is on Sunday June 14th, from 1:30pm to
5:30pm. We look forward to seeing you and your family
here. It will be a family potluck event. Holy Family will
provide both BBQ Ribs & Carne Asada so please bring
one of your favorite dishes to share! There will be a DJ,
ballet folklorico, face painting and more! Be ready to
enter the Chili Cook-off contest.
