FINISHING (MAKING UP)
Sew bag sides and bottom to the two bag pieces
(see photograph).
Sew zipper to upper edge of bag.
Sew the cotton ribbon to the inside of handle (=
to avoid stretching) and sew one end of handle
to upper edge of each bag side.

MEASUREMENTS: 13 3/4” x 16 1/2” (without
bag sides)
GAUGE
Take time to check gauge.
Using POLO SUR with size 10 needles, in Reverse
Stockinette st:
8 sts and 13 rows = 4x4”.
Using MAXI MERINO with size 9 needles, in
Cable pattern:
21 sts and 14 rows = 4x4”.

BAG
When work measures 15” (38 cm), using MAXI
MERINO with size 9 needles, work in 1x1 Ribbing
for the next 2” (5 cm). Bind off (cast off) all sts
using Tubular bind off (Tubular cast off).
Work a second piece in the same way.
Bag sides and bottom: Using MAXI MERINO
with size 9 needles, cast on 21 sts. Work in
Cable pattern following graph A.
When work measures 44 1/2” (113 cm), bind off
(cast off) all sts.
Bag handle: Using MAXI MERINO with size
7 needles, cast on 7 sts. Work in 1x1 Ribbing.
When work measures 32 1/4” (82 cm), bind off
(cast off) sts.

CONFECCIÓN Y REMATE
Coser la tira de los laterales y fondo del bolso a
las dos piezas del bolso (ver fotografía).
Coser la cremallera en la parte superior del
bolso.
Coser la cinta de algodón por dentro del asa (=
para evitar que no se estire) y coser un extremo
del asa a cada lateral de la parte superior del
bolso.
