DESCUBRIR LA PROPIA VOCACIÓN La liturgia de la Palabra de este segundo domingo ordinario nos presenta las líneas magistrales de un tema capital: Todo hombre o mujer, en cuanto ser humano, tiene una “vocación” y está llamado para una “misión” en el mundo, en la sociedad y en la Iglesia. Las páginas más bellas y sugestivas de la Biblia son aquellas que nos presentan la vocación de hombres concretos que han tenido un papel importante en la historia de la salvación: Abrahán, Moisés, Samuel, David, Isaías, etc. Las escenas de la vocación revelan a Dios en su majestad y en su misterio, y al hombre en su verdad, en su aceptación. Toda vocación bíblica es una elección por parte de Dios para una misión histórica particular. La primera lectura que se lee hoy es un expresivo ejemplo de la llamada personal de Dios y de su diálogo con el hombre. Por tres veces, durante la noche, el joven Samuel oye una voz que lo llama, pero no sabe de dónde viene. Ayudado por el viejo sacerdote Elí, descubre la llamada decisiva del Señor y responde con prontitud y disponibilidad; “Habla, Señor, que tu siervo te escucha”. Es paralela la llamada de los primeros discípulos de Cristo, que nos narra el evangelio. Importa constatar una vez más que la iniciativa de la llamada parte de Cristo; es fruto de un ansia y de un interés que el hombre tiene en el corazón: ¿Qué buscáis?; es un descubrimiento progresivo: “venid y lo veréis”. En el itinerario de toda vocación se deben considerar siempre los binomios fundamentales: buscar encontrar y seguir permanecer. La alegría que Andrés ha experimentado al encontrar a Jesús y reconocer en él al Mesías, la hace partícipe a su hermano Simón, llevándole hasta el Maestro. Este encuentro entre Jesús y Simón está iluminado por la mirada de amor y de predilección con la que Cristo acoge al nuevo discípulo, al que cambia el nombre para significar su misión particular en la Iglesia: ser roca sólida, estable y fundamental. Es, pues, necesario descubrir la propia vocación, la “verdad interior” que Dios nos ha dado. Realizarse como persona depende de la capacidad que cada uno tiene para discernir el proyecto divino escrito en lo profundo del corazón humano. La vocación cristiana es el riesgo gozoso de llegar a ser criaturas nuevas con nombre nuevo en beneficio de todos. Andrés Pardo .
