OPERATING INSTRUCTION
Please read this manual before operation
POWER REQUIREMENTS
Battery Power
This radio is designed to operate on 2 LR6 Energizer type
batteries(AA or equivalent).Remove the Battery Compartment
cover and fit the batteries in the battery compartment following
the diagram on the back of the radio.
If the sound becomes low or distorted, replace all batteries
with new.
External Power
A DC Input Socket has been provided for external power
connection. It requires a 3V DC Power Source. Ensure that the
polarity is correct.
USING THE RADIO
Swith on the radio by turning the volume control until it
clicks. Adjust the volume to the desired listening level.
To switch off the radio, turn the volume control knob down
until it clicks.
FM Reception
For FM reception,fully extend the telescopic antenna,and
press the FM button. The FM indicator will light. Select the
desired radio station by turning the Tuning Knob.When a strong
signal is found,the tuning indicator will light.

EARPHONES
For private listening, this radio is equipped with a 3.5mm
stereo earphones socket.
Please remember that excessively loud sounds played
through earphones can damage your hearing.
PRECAUTION
Must escape from burning and impact.
Do not use any abrasive powder to clean the cabinet.
Wipe it with a soft cloth moistened with a mild soap and
water solution.
Do not leave the unit in a location near heat sources, or in
a place subject to direct sunlight, excessive dust or
mechanical shock.
Do not use old and new batteries together.
Always remove all the batteries from the radio when it is
not going to be used for a long time.
This will prevent the batteries from leaking inside the
battery compartment.
AM Reception
For MW/SW reception press the MW/SW button. The MW/
SW indicator will light. Select the desired band with the Band
selector. Select the desired radio station by turning the Tuning
Knob.When a strong signal is found,the tuning indicator will light.
For the best FM or SW reception extend the Telescopic
Antenna. The MW band uses a built in directional aerial. Rotate
the radio for the best reception.
DX/Local Selector
To select a distant radio signal,set the DX/LOCAL switch to
the DX position.For local radio station,set it to the LOCAL position.

REQUISITOS DE ALIMENTACIÓN
Alimentación con pilas
Esta radio ha sido diseñada para funcionar con 2 pilas
LR6 (AA o equivalentes). Retire la tapa del compartimento e
introduzca las pilas observando el diagrama situado en la
parte posterior de la radio.
Si el volumen baja o el sonido se vuelve distorsionado,
cambie todas las pilas por otras nuevas.
Selector DX/Local
Alimentación externa
Este aparato incorpora una toma de auriculares estéreo
de 3,5 mm para poder escuchar la radio en privado.
Recuerde que utilizar los auriculares con un volumen
demasiado alto puede provocar daños en el sistema auditivo.
Este aparato incorpora una toma de entrada DC para
conexión a alimentación externa de una fuente de 3V DC.
Asegúrese de que la polaridad sea correcta.
USO DE LA RADIO
Para encender la radio, gire el control de volumen hasta
oír un “clic”. Ajuste el volumen al nivel deseado.
Para apagar la radio, gire el control de volumen hacia
“menos” hasta oír un “clic”.
Recepción FM
Para recepción en FM, extienda completamente la antena
telescópica y pulse el botón FM. El indicador FM se encenderá.
Seleccione la emisora deseada girando el selector de
sintonización. Cuando la radio localice una señal potente, el
indicador de sintonización se encenderá.
Recepción AM
Para recepción en MW/SW, pulse el botón MW/SW. El
indicador MW/SW se encenderá. Seleccione la banda deseada
mediante el selector de banda. Seleccione la emisora deseada
girando el selector de sintonización. Cuando la radio localice
una señal potente, el indicador de sintonización se encenderá.
Para mejorar la recepción en FM o SW extienda la antena
telescópica. La banda MW utiliza una antena direccional
situada en el interior de la radio. Gire la radio para mejorar la
recepción.
Para seleccionar una señal de radio distante, sitúe el
selector DX/Local en posición “DX”. Para emisoras de radio
cercanas, sitúelo en posición “LOCAL”.
AURICULARES
PRECAUCIONES
No exponga el aparato a golpes y aléjelo de las llamas.
No utilice productos abrasivos para limpiar la cubierta.
Utilice un paño suave humedecido con una solución de
agua y jabón neutro.No deje el aparato cerca de fuentes
de calor. No lo exponga a la luz solar directa, polvo
excesivo ni vibraciones.
No mezcle pilas viejas y nuevas.
Para evitar vertido de electrolito en el interior del
compartimento, retire las pilas cuando no vaya a utilizar
el aparato durante un prolongado periodo de tiempo.
