Second Sunday of Easter / Sunday of Divine Mercy
Segundo Domingo de Pascua Domingo de la Divina
Sunday Reflection
Dear brothers and sisters,
Happy Easter! Felices Pascuas!
Today, we conclude the octave of Easter, 8 glorious days celebrating the Resurrection of
Christ. We also celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday today where we recall the infinite and divine
mercy of Jesus Christ that is continually poured out upon us, especially through the
sacraments.
We've had a wonderful and blessed Lenten season, Holy Week and Easter Octave. I wanted
to take some time to share a few thank you to those who helped contribute to these seasons in a wonderful
way. To my brother priests, especially Fr. William, in sharing the priesthood with me. To our deacons and
their wives, for their wonderful support and model of service. To our parish staff who did so many things
behind the scenes and for their continued support. Special thanks to Sr. Grace and her catechetical team for
their instruction of our neophytes and candidates. Special thanks to our liturgy committee and all of our
ministers: EMHCs, lectors, ushers, sacristans, altar society, choir, parking lot ministers and Custodiae
Dominus. Special thanks for John Bonaduce and Coco Bonilla for their work with the music and liturgy.
Thanks to Thanh Tran and his army of volunteers who helped with all of the decor. And finally, thanks to our
seminarians, Deacon Luis, Andrew Hedstrom and Patrick Ayala for your participation in the liturgy especially
as MC's.
May the joy of Easter continue to resound throughout our lives. God bless.
Our Lady of Peace... pray for us.
Queridos hermanos y hermanas,
Felices Pascuas!
A nuestro
Y finalmente, gracias a nuestros seminaristas, Diacono Luis, Andrew Hedstrom and

Meal Of the Month
“Eternal life to those who seek glory, honor, and immortality through perseverance in good works,”
Romans 2:7
On Sunday, March 20, 2016, MOM members prepared and delivered 220 lunch plates to the residents in need of Skid
Row, OLP community and numerous job seekers around home improvement stores of the San Fernando Valley.
The lunches were sponsored by Mrs. Diệu Nguyễn of Valley Financial Investments, Inc. and Pro Estate Realty.
The mission of MOM is to prepare/deliver hot meal once a month to at least 160 homeless/needy people. This goal cannot
be met without light and grace from the Spirit of God, the generous donors and devoted volunteers whose actions reflect
the Gospel values of Faith and Love.
The next MOM donation meal is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, April 10, 2016. For inquiries about donations or volunteer opportunities, please contact Phuong Le at (818)993-3069 or [email protected].

expensive in Nigeria. For more info or tickets contact Bob at 818-891-3239.
We will have spaghetti and meatballs, fish pasta, and chicken Alfredo with all the trimmings. Adults $18 and
children under 12 for $9. It is a great deal for a great cause!
