SP3300 Installation Steps
When mounting the SP3300, find a suitable mounting location under the vehicle dashboard. Be sure the label is pointing up to ensure
the GPS is facing the sky

Connect power and ground:
A. Using the OBD II adapter: Connect the 2-pin power harness connector to the OBD II adapter (Figure 1). Remove the screws
securing the vehicle’s original OBD port (female). Plug the male end of the OBD adapter into the vehicle’s original OBD port. Please
note: you can secure the connection by using a zip tie to create a bond between the two ports. Next, install the female end of the
OBD port adapter in the same spot where the original OBD was located by using the plastic clip. Please note: If the manufacturer’s
OBD clip works, then use that to secure the OBD adapter female port.
B. Without using the OBDII adapter: Remove the 2-pin connector, cutting the Red and Black wires of the power harness. (Fig. 1)
• Measure the voltage at the vehicle battery with the car off. Power to the SP3300 can be taken directly from the battery, the
fuse box, or at a point near the steering column that has the exact same voltage as the vehicle battery with the car off. A
voltage on a wire that is slightly less than the battery voltage indicates that the wire is not direct electrical connection to the
battery and should not be used.
• Connect the Red wire of the device power harness to the vehicle’s constant battery source.
• Connect the Black wire of the device power harness to chassis ground.
2. For the starter interrupt installation follow the steps shown in figure 2.
3. To use the starter interrupt feature, connect the White wire from the power harness to ignition source.
4. Plug the power harness to the device and secure the device under the vehicle dash pad out of view.
5. To test the starter interrupt feature vehicle ignition must be off, and the device must have valid GPS and cellular connection.

Para instalar el SP3300 primero busque un lugar adecuado debajo del tablero del vehículo. Asegúrese que la etiqueta del equipo esté
apuntando hacia arriba para garantizar que el GPS esté orientado hacia el cielo.

Conectando energía y tierra
A. Usando el adaptador OBD II: Enchufe el conector de 2-pines al adaptador OBD II (Diagrama 1). Retire los tornillos que sostienen
el puerto OBD del vehículo. Conecte el extremo macho del adaptador OBD II al puerto OBD (hembra) del vehículo. Nota: usted
puede asegurar el adaptador al vehículo con un precinto/brida. Instale el extremo hembra del adaptador OBDII en el mismo lugar
donde se encontraba el puerto OBD original del vehículo. Nota: revise si puede usar los clips originales del vehículo para asegurar el
extremo hembra del OBDII.
B. Sin usar el adaptador OBD II: Remueva el conector de 2-pines cortando los cables Rojo y Negro del cable de energía. (Diagrama 1)
• Mida el voltaje de la batería de su auto mientras esté apagado. El voltaje para el SP3300 puede ser tomado directamente de la
batería, de la caja de fusibles o en un punto cercano al eje del volante en donde el valor del voltaje sea igual al que tiene la
batería cuando el carro está apagado. Si el voltaje en un cable es menor al de la batería (cuando el vehículo está apagado) es
un indicativo que el cable no viene directamente de la batería y por tanto no debe ser usado
• Conecte el cable Rojo (del cable de energía) a una fuente constante de energía que provenga de la batería
• Conecte el cable Negro (del cable de energía) a tierra
Para instalar la opción de inhabilitar el arranque del vehículo siga los pasos que se muestran en el diagrama No 2.
Para usar la opción de inhabilitar el arranque del vehículo conecte el cable Blanco del Cable de Energía a la fuente del arranque.
Conecte el Cable de Energía a la unidad y asegúrelo debajo del tablero de su vehículo de manera que no sea visible.
Para probar la opción de inhabilitar el arranque el vehículo debe estar apagado y tanto la señal del GPS como la de la red celular
deben ser válidas.
