Welcome!
A college education is a highly valued achievement in our culture.
Many dream of attending and graduating from college to attain
improved career opportunities, enhanced knowledge, or a brighter
future. For these individuals, higher education is a gateway to a
better life. However, simply dreaming about college isn’t enough.
Action is needed to make every dream a reality. For this reason, I am
extremely pleased to present to you the class listings and college
programs for Citrus College’s Spring Semester 2013. If your ambition is to
earn an associate degree, transfer to a four-year college or university, or prepare for a career,
Citrus College has a wide variety of programs and services to assist you along the way.
The recent passage of Proposition 30 is providing students with an even greater opportunity
to achieve academic success. Because of the action taken by thousands of California voters,
Citrus College has added class sections that represent critical academic and high-demand
disciplines such as mathematics, English, and science. Each additional class allows Citrus
College to continue working towards the institutional goal of being a College of Completion.
This initiative, which was adopted at the beginning of the academic year, strives to equip
students with the information and support that will enable them to reach their goals.
With the passage of Proposition 30, the voters of California have chosen to invest in higher
education. The faculty and staff of Citrus College have also chosen to invest in students by
adopting the College of Completion initiative. Now, it is your turn. Don’t just dream about a
college education – make it happen! Invest in yourself and in your future by making the most
of the opportunities that are available to you at Citrus College.
May your spring semester be one of growth, inspiration and, most importantly, action!

Obtener una educación en un colegio es un gran logro en nuestra cultura. Muchas personas
sueñan con asistir y graduarse del colegio para adquirir mejores oportunidades de carrera,
incrementar sus conocimientos, o para tener un futuro brillante. Para estas personas, la
educación superior es el camino a una mejor vida. Sin embargo, el solamente soñar no es
suficiente. Se necesita una acción para hacer todo sueño una realidad. Por esta razón, me siento
muy emocionada de compartir con usted la lista de clases y de programas de Citrus College para
el Semestre de Primavera 2012. Si su ambición es obtener un título de asociado, transferirse a
una universidad o colegio de cuatro años de estudio, o prepararse para una nueva carrera, Citrus
College tiene una gran cantidad de programas y servicios para ayudarle a realizar sus metas.
La reciente aprobación de la Proposición 30 está ofreciendo a los estudiantes más
oportunidades de lograr el éxito académico. Gracias a la acción tomada por miles de votantes de
California, Citrus College ha podido agregar secciones de clases que son críticas y en áreas de
gran demanda como matemáticas, inglés, y ciencia. Cada clase adicional, permite a Citrus
College a continuar trabajando para ser un “College of Completion”. Esta iniciativa, que fue
adoptada al principio del año académico, se esfuerza por equipar a los estudiantes con la
información y el apoyo necesario para que puedan lograr sus metas.

en la educación superior. La facultad y el personal de Citrus College han seleccionado invertir en
