The 2013 Archbishop’s Annual Appeal
The greatest of these is love… (1 Cor 13:13)
The 2013 Archbishop’s Annual Appeal is now underway. Parishioners
should be receiving a letter from Archbishop Gregory asking for a pledge
to the 2013 Archbishop’s Annual Appeal.
The Appeal funds the essential ministries of the wider church in our
archdiocese—ministries that, in many cases, are of service to our parish.
For example, Archbishop’s Annual Appeal gifts support: seminarian
education, priests’ continuing education, respect life ministry, cathecetical
ministry and child and youth protection, among others.
This year, the theme of the Appeal is, “The greatest of these is love.” St.
Paul reminds us of Christ’s unfailing love for us and our call to share that
love with our family, our neighbors and our community. Your financial
support for the work of our parish, and of the wider church in our
archdiocese and the world, is, in fact, one way to share your love with
your community.
After we reach our parish Annual Appeal goal, the archdiocese returns
100% of each additional dollar received from our parishioners to the
parish. Please respond to the Archbishop’s request and make a generous
pledge. All pledges will be billed in ten monthly installments. Thank you
in advance for your support.

Overage from Archbishops Annual Appeal Used to Expand Ministry Space
With early returns coming in from the Archdiocese, we're very excited to report that St Brendan's already
has an overage of more than $10,000 that will be returned to us for the benefit of our parish. Recently, we
placed a large tent off the Social Hall for our use during Advent and Christmas. We've been using that tent
on a rental basis for a number of parish activities to the great delight of many ministries, parishioners and
visitors. Due to such positive feedback, we've decided to purchase this tent with the AAA overage funds, to
help resolve some of the challenging space issues that we encounter each week due to the very active
ministries and Parish Life that have become the trademark of St Brendan's.
Thanks to all who contributed to the 2012 AAA. Please contact Kevin or Denise Morton at 770 888 4018 or
[email protected] if you have any questions.
