The skin microbiota varies depending on many factors. The hospital is one of them. The hospitalized patient has the largest number of multi-resistant germs, and gram-negative versus healthy adult, constitute a risk in order to develop nosocomial infections. Inglés Ingelesa Objective: To analyze the baseline microbiota flora in bedridden hospital patients. Method: observational, cross-sectional study. Results: Mean cfu armpit colonies were superior to the groin, 120,069.34 and 99,242.03 respectively. In groin there were significantly more positive samples for germs in general and fermenters, and in armpit exceeded the presence of gram positive. Significant quantitative and qualitative differences were in the groin, with higher values in women, and for those under 65 years and urinary catheter in armpit. Conclusions: the baseline microbiota situation is quantitatively superior in armpit, and qualitatively superior in groin. There were major settlements and more positive samples baseline, for women in groin, and for those under 65 years and urinary catheter porters in armpit.
