AMEN
Take a look around the walls of your church. Even if it’s
only a year or two old, the word “Amen” has resounded off
those walls countless times at the conclusion of the Eucharistic Prayer and as the faithful have come forward to receive
the Body and Blood of Christ. Today’s feast is about those
“Amens” offered in faith, offered in times of trouble or
doubt, spoken in joy, spoken mindlessly, but all given to
God in a multitude of ways. It is our very lives that lie behind our “Amens” and are touched by the presence of Christ,
the presence we celebrate today. More importantly, we celebrate the love of Christ for us shown in the sacrifice on Calvary and that he continues to give to us in every celebration
of the Eucharist. What can we do but rejoice in that great
love, and then go out into the world and live that love in sacrificing for others? Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.
No importa si

Thanks to all who helped with a great celebration of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on Saturday, June 14. This year’s celebration was marked with several firsts: our opening event of the 5K
Fun Run (thanks to our youth and their sponsors), our Mass at
11 am, and of course the festival itself. A financial report will
be given as soon as it is available.
tan pronto posible.
A great thanks also, to all who helped Father Simon Brzozowski in the celebration of his fifty years of priesthood two
Sundays ago. Such events need the help of many people, and
you came forward! To all who helped with the liturgy, the celebration to follow, the hospitality to all our out-of-town guests,
the clean-up, and those who simply chose to attend and give
honor to our native son, Father Simon - many thanks! -- Jean
Hrncirik, the Family of Fr. Simon, and Fr. Paul

gracias! -- Jean Hrncirik, La Famiia de Padre Simón, y Padre
Paul.
