Introduction
Congratulations and thank you for purchasing the Belkin USB Plus Hub. The Hub
provides four downstream USB ports that offer backward-compatible, Plug-and-Play
connectivity with all USB devices, including USB 1.1 (or low- and full-speed) devices, as
well as with USB 2.0 (or high-speed) devices. This includes such peripherals as scanners,
printers, mass-storage devices, and high-resolution cameras. The Hub is self-powered,
which allows you to cascade devices with additional hubs, so that up to 127 USB devices
may be connected to a single port.
The Hub lets you connect your peripherals through the back or top ports. Reserve the
top ports for flash drives and MP3 players while using the back ports for stationary
devices. The cable-management feature lets you easily remember which cables
correspond to each device. The Hub also provides a status LED for each individual port
and a master power LED.

Installation
Important Note: Please do not connect any USB devices to the Hub until instructed to
do so in step 4 of this installation procedure.
1. Plug the AC adapter into a wall outlet or surge protector. Plug the DC connector into
the DC power jack found on the rear of the Hub.
Note: The Hub may be used without the power supply when connecting low-power
devices such as keyboards and mice.
2. Plug the flat end of the provided USB device cable into the downstream port of your
computer, or downstream port of another hub, then plug the mini-USB connector on
the device cable into the upstream port on the rear of the Hub.

Installation
Important Note: The Hub must be connected to a USB 2.0-compliant host in order
to function in high-speed mode (480Mbps data rate). If the Hub is connected to
a USB 1.1-compliant host, it will operate only in low-speed or full-speed mode
(1.5Mbps/12Mbps).
3. Windows will now detect your Hub and install the required driver support. (The
Windows “Install New Hardware Wizard” may prompt you to provide your Windows
Installation CD to complete the driver installation process.)
Important Note: High-speed hub drivers are included with most USB 2.0 PCI
upgrade cards, and are preinstalled along with the PCI card drivers. If you purchased
an upgrade card prior to the release of high-speed hub support, please check
with your PCI card vendor for an updated USB 2.0 driver. The Belkin USB 2.0 driver
supports all competitive cards based on the NEC host controller with the exception
of Adaptec.
4. Plug the USB A connector of the USB device, or an additional hub, into any of the
downstream ports of the Hub.
Important Note: When moving a device from one port on the Hub to another, it may
be necessary to reinstall the USB drivers for that device.

Product Warranty.
Belkin will repair or replace, at its option, any defective product free of charge (except
for shipping charges for the product).
What is not covered by this warranty?
All above warranties are null and void if the Belkin product is not provided to Belkin
International, Inc., for inspection upon Belkin’s request at the sole expense of the
purchaser, or if Belkin International, Inc., determines that the Belkin product has been
improperly installed, altered in any way, or tampered with. The Belkin Product Warranty
does not protect against acts of God (other than lightning) such as flood, earthquake,
war, vandalism, theft, normal-use wear and tear, erosion, depletion, obsolescence,
abuse, damage due to low voltage disturbances (i.e. brownouts or sags), non-authorized
program, or system equipment modification or alteration.
How to get service.
To get service for your Belkin product you must take the following steps:
1. Contact Belkin International, Inc., at 501 W. Walnut St., Compton CA 90220, Attn:
Customer Service, or call (800)-223-5546, within 15 days of the Occurrence. Be
prepared to provide the following information:
a. The part number of the Belkin product.
b. Where you purchased the product.
c. When you purchased the product.
d. Copy of original receipt.
2. Your Belkin Customer Service Representative will then instruct you on how to
forward your receipt and Belkin product and how to proceed with your claim.

Information
Belkin International, Inc., reserves the right to review the damaged Belkin product. All
costs of shipping the Belkin product to Belkin International, Inc., for inspection shall
be borne solely by the purchaser. If Belkin determines, in its sole discretion, that it is
impractical to ship the damaged equipment to Belkin International, Inc., Belkin may
designate, in its sole discretion, an equipment repair facility to inspect and estimate the
cost to repair such equipment. The cost, if any, of shipping the equipment to and from
such repair facility and of such estimate shall be borne solely by the purchaser. Damaged
equipment must remain available for inspection until the claim is finalized. Whenever
claims are settled, Belkin International, Inc., reserves the right to be subrogated under
any existing insurance policies the purchaser may have.
How state law relates to the warranty.
THIS WARRANTY CONTAINS THE SOLE WARRANTY OF BELKIN INTERNATIONAL,

Félicitations et merci d’avoir choisi le Hub USB Plus de Belkin. Le hub est équipé de
quatre ports USB en voie descendante qui offrent une connectivité descendante et
Plug-and-Play avec tous les périphériques USB, y compris des périphériques USB1.1 (à
faible et à plein débit) ainsi que des périphériques USB 2.0 (ou haut débit). Il peut s’agir
de scanners, d’imprimantes, de périphériques de stockage de masse et d’appareils
photo à haute résolution. Le hub est auto-alimenté, ce qui permet le branchement de
périphériques en cascade avec d’autres hubs. Cela signifie qu’il est possible de relier
jusqu’à 127 périphériques USB à un seul port.
Le hub permet la connexion des périphériques par les ports situés à l’arrière ou sur le

Remarque importante : Ne branchez pas de périphérique USB sur le hub avant qu’il ne
vous soit indiqué de le faire à l’étape 4 de cette procédure d’installation.
1. Branchez l’adaptateur de courant sur une prise murale ou sur un parafoudre.
Branchez la fiche CC sur la prise d’alimentation CC à l’arrière du hub.
Remarque : Il est possible d’utiliser le hub sans le bloc d’alimentation si vous
branchez des périphériques à faible consommation électrique comme les claviers ou
les souris.
2. Branchez l’extrémité plate du câble USB fourni au port en voie descendante de votre
ordinateur ou d’un autre hub. Ensuite, branchez le connecteur mini-USB du câble au
port en voir ascendante à l’arrière du hub.

Remarque importante : Le hub doit être connecté à un hôte compatible USB 2.0
pour fonctionner en mode à haut débit (480 Mbps). S’il est relié à un hôte compatible
USB 1.1, il fonctionnera en mode à faible ou plein débit (1,5/12 Mbps).
3. Windows détecte votre hub et installe le pilote nécessaire. (Il se peut que l’Assistant
Ajout de nouveau matériel de Windows vous demande d’insérer le CD d’installation
de Windows pour terminer la procédure d’installation du pilote.)
Remarque importante : Les pilotes USB 2.0 à haut débit du hub sont fournis avec la
plupart des cartes de mise à niveau PCI USB 2.0 et sont pré-installés avec les pilotes
des cartes PCI. Si vous avez acheté une carte de mise à niveau avant la prise en charge
officielle USB à haut débit, veuillez communiquer avec le fabricant de votre carte PCI
pour obtenir un pilote USB 2.0 mis à jour. Le pilote USB 2.0 Belkin prend en charge
toutes les cartes d’autres fabricants qui sont basées sur le contrôleur hôte NEC, à

4. Branchez le connecteur USB-A du périphérique USB ou d’un autre hub sur l’un des

Wir freuen uns, dass Sie sich für den USB Plus-Hub von Belkin entschieden haben.
Der Hub verfügt über vier Downstream-USB-Ports (zum angeschlossenen Gerät
gerichtet), an die alle USB-Geräte mit einfachem Plug&Play angeschlossen werden
können, einschließlich USB 1.1- (oder Low- und Full-Speed-) und USB 2.0- (oder HiSpeed-) Geräte. Dazu gehören zum Beispiel Scanner, Drucker, Massenspeicher und
hochauflösende Kameras. Der Hub ist selbstgespeist, so dass Geräte mit zusätzlichen

Installation
Wichtiger Hinweis: Schließen Sie bitte kein USB-Gerät an den Hub an, bevor Sie in
Schritt vier dieser Anleitung dazu aufgefordert werden.
1. Schließen Sie das Netzteil an eine nahe gelegene Steckdose oder einen
Überspannungsschutz an. Schließen Sie den Netzstecker an den Netzanschluss
hinten am Hub an.
Hinweis: Wenn nur Geräte mit niedriger Leistungsaufnahme wie Tastaturen oder
Mäuse angeschlossen werden, kann der Haub ohne Netzteil betrieben werden.
2. Stecken Sie das flache Ende des mitgelieferten USB-Kabels in den Downstream-Port
Ihres Computers oder eines anderen Hubs. Stecken Sie dann den Mini-USB-Stecker
des Gerätekabels in den Upstream-Port an der Rückseite des Hubs.

Installation
Hinweis: Der Hub muss an einen USB 2.0-fähigen Host angeschlossen werden, damit
der Hi-Speed Modus (480 Mbit/s) genutzt werden kann. Wird der Hub an einen USB
1.1-Host angeschlossen, kann er nur mit niedriger oder voller Geschwindigkeit (1,5/12
Mbit/s) betrieben werden.
3. Windows erkennt den Hub automatisch und installiert die benötigten Treiber.
(Möglicherweise werden Sie vom Hardware-Assistenten aufgefordert, die Windows
CD-ROM einzulegen, um die Treiberinstallation abzuschließen.)
Hinweis: Hi-Speed Hub-Treiber werden mit den meisten USB 2.0 PCIErweiterungskarten geliefert und zusammen mit den PCI-Kartentreibern installiert.
Wenn Sie Ihre USB-Karte vor der Veröffentlichung von USB 2.0 Hi-Speed-Hubs
gekauft haben, fragen Sie beim Hersteller Ihrer PCI-Karte nach, ob ein aktualisierter
USB 2.0-Treiber erhältlich ist. Der USB 2.0-Treiber von Belkin unterstützt alle Karten,
die auf dem NEC-Host-Controller basieren, mit Ausnahme der Adaptec-Karten.
4. Stecken Sie den USB-A-Stecker des USB-Geräts bzw. eines anderen Hubs in einen
Downstream-Port am Hub.

Hartelijk dank voor het kopen van de USB Plus Hub waarvan u veel plezier zult hebben.
De hub is uitgerust met vier USB-downstreampoorten die “Plug-and-Play”-connectiviteit
bieden en compatibel zijn met alle USB-apparaten, waaronder zowel USB 1.1 (of lowen full-speed) apparaten als USB 2.0 (of high-speed) apparaten. Hiertoe behoren ook
randapparaten als scanners, printers, massaopslagapparaten en hoge-resolutiecamera’s.
De hub is zelfvoedend. Dit betekent dat u op één poort met behulp van extra hubs een
keten van maar liefst 127 USB-apparaten kunt aansluiten.
De hub biedt u de mogelijkheid uw randapparaten op de poorten aan de bovenkant
of de achterkant aan te sluiten. Zo kunt u de poorten aan de bovenkant reserveren
voor flash drives en MP3-spelers terwijl u de poorten aan de achterkant gebruikt voor
stationaire apparaten. Dankzij het geïntegreerde kabelmangementsysteem is snel
duidelijk welke kabel met welk apparaat correspondeert. De hub is tevens voorzien van
een status-LED voor elke afzonderlijke poort en van een centrale LED voor de voeding.

Belangrijke opmerking: Sluit geen USB-apparaten aan op de hub voordat u daartoe
opdracht krijgt in stap 4 van deze installatieprocedure.
1. Sluit de netvoedingsadapter aan op een stopcontact of op een spanningsbeveiliger.
Sluit de gelijkstroomconnector aan op de gelijkstroomaansluiting aan de achterkant
van de hub.
Let op: U kunt de hub zonder externe voeding gebruiken bij aansluiting van
energiezuinige apparaten als toetsenborden en muizen.
2. Sluit het platte uiteinde van de meegeleverde USB-kabel aan op de
downstreampoort van uw computer of de downstreampoort van een andere
hub en sluit vervolgens de mini-USB-connector van de aansluitkabel aan op de
upstreampoort aan de achterkant van de hub.

Belangrijke opmerking De hub moet zijn aangesloten op een hostcomputer met
een USB 2.0 aansluiting om in hi-speed modus (datasnelheid 480 Mbps) te kunnen
functioneren. Als de hub wordt aangesloten op een USB 1.1 host, dan werkt hij
uitsluitend in low-speed of full-speed modus (1,5 Mbps respectievelijk 12 Mbps).
3. Windows herkent nu uw hub en installeert vervolgens de benodigde stuurprogram
maondersteuning. (In sommige gevallen vraagt de Windows “Install New Hardware
Wizard” om de Windows installatie-cd om de installatie van het stuurprogramma te
voltooien.)
Belangrijke opmerking Stuurprogramma’s voor hi-speed USB 2.0 hubs worden
doorgaans met USB 2.0 PCI-upgradekaarten meegeleverd en samen met de
stuurprogramma’s van PCI-kaarten vooraf al geïnstalleerd. Vraag de leverancier
van uw PCI-kaart om een recent USB 2.0 stuurprogramma als de upgradekaart is
gekocht voordat de ondersteuning van hi-speed hubs werd geïntroduceerd. Het
stuurprogramma van Belkin voor hi-speed USB 2.0 ondersteunt ook alle niet-Belkinkaarten die gebaseerd zijn op de NEC-hostcontroller, met uitzondering van Adaptec.
4. Sluit de USB-A stekker van het USB-apparaat of van een andere hub aan op een van
de downstreampoorten van de hub.
Belangrijke opmerking: Als u een op de hub aangesloten apparaat verplaatst van
de ene naar de andere poort kan het zijn dat u het USB-stuurprogramma voor dat
apparaat opnieuw moet installeren.

Hoe worden problemen opgelost?

Belkin zal het product dat een defect vertoont naar eigen goeddunken kosteloos (met
uitzondering van transportkosten) repareren of vervangen.
Wat valt buiten deze garantie?
Alle hierin versterkte garanties zijn niet van toepassing als het product van Belkin op
verzoek van Belkin niet op kosten van de koper voor onderzoek aan Belkin International,
Inc., ter beschikking is gesteld of als Belkin International, Inc. constateert dat het
product van Belkin verkeerd is geïnstalleerd, op enige wijze is veranderd of vervalst. De
-productgarantie van Belkin biedt geen bescherming tegen van buiten komend onheil
(anders dan blikseminslag), zoals overstromingen, aardbevingen en oorlogsmolest,
vandalisme, diefstal, normale slijtage, afslijting, depletie, veroudering, misbruik,
beschadiging door netspanningsdalingen (z.g. “brown-outs” en “sags”), ongeoorloofde
programmering en/of wijziging van de systeemapparatuur.
Hoe wordt service verleend?
Om voor service voor uw Belkin-product in aanmerking te komen gaat u als volgt te

d. Het originele aankoopbewijs.
2. Een medewerker/ster van onze klantenservice zal u vervolgens instrueren hoe u het
aankoopbewijs en het product moet verzenden en uitleggen hoe de claim verder
afgewikkeld zal worden.

Belkin International, Inc. behoudt zich het recht voor het defecte Belkin product te
onderzoeken. De kosten voor verzending van het Belkin product naar Belkin International,
Inc. komen volledig voor rekening van de koper. Als Belkin naar eigen bevinding tot de
conclusie komt dat het onpraktisch is de defecte apparatuur naar Belkin International,
Inc. te verzenden, kan Belkin naar eigen goeddunken een deskundige reparatieinrichting aanwijzen en deze opdragen de betreffende apparatuur te inspecteren en de
reparatiekosten ervan te begroten. De eventuele verzendkosten van het product naar de
reparatie-inrichting en van de terugzending naar de koper en van de kostenbegroting
komen geheel voor rekening van de koper. Het beschadigde product moet voor
onderzoek beschikbaar blijven totdat de claim is afgehandeld. Belkin International, Inc.
behoudt zich bij de vereffening van claims het recht voor tot in-de-plaatstreding bij alle
geldige verzekeringspolissen waarover de koper van het product beschikt.
De garantie en de wet.
DEZE GARANTIE OMVAT DE ENIGE GARANTIE VAN BELKIN INTERNATIONAL, INC. EN ER ZIJN

Deze garantie verleent u specifieke wettelijke rechten en wellicht hebt u andere

Enhorabuena y gracias por la adquisición del hub plus USB de Belkin. El hub proporciona
cuatro puertos USB descendentes, compatibles con versiones anteriores de USB, y
equipados con capacidad de conectividad plug-and-play con todos los dispositivos USB,
incluidos los dispositivos USB 1.1 (velocidad baja y completa) y USB 2.0 (alta velocidad).
Esto incluye periféricos como, por ejemplo, escáneres, impresoras, unidades de
almacenamiento masivo y cámaras de alta resolución. Este hub autoalimentado permite
conectar dispositivos en cascada, posibilitando la conexión de hasta 127 dispositivos
USB a un único puerto.
El hub le permite conectar sus periféricos a través de la parte posterior de los puertos
superiores. Reserve los puertos superiores para las unidades flash y los reproductores

Instalación
Nota importante: No conecte al hub ningún dispositivo USB hasta que se le requiera
hacerlo en el cuarto paso de este proceso de instalación.
1. Enchufe el adaptador CA a una toma de pared o a un protector contra aumentos de
tensión. Enchufe el conector CC a la toma de alimentación CC que se encuentra en la
parte inferior del hub.
Nota: El hub puede utilizarse sin una fuente de alimentación si se conecta a
dispositivos de bajo consumo, como por ejemplo teclados y ratones.
2.Conecte el extremo plano del cable para dispositivo USB que se incluye en el puerto
descendente de su ordenador o en el puerto descendente de otro hub, después
conecte el conector USB mini del cable del dispositivo en el puerto ascendente de la
parte posterior del hub.

Instalación
Nota importante: El hub debe estar conectado a un host compatible con USB 2.0
para poder funcionar en modo de alta velocidad (velocidad de transferencia de
480 Mbps). Si el hub está conectado a un host compatible con USB 1.1, funcionará
solamente en los modos de velocidad baja y completa (1.5 Mbps/12 Mbps).
3. Windows detectará ahora su hub e instalará el controlador necesario. (Puede que el
asistente de instalación de nuevo hardware de Windows le pida el CD de instalación
de Windows para finalizar el proceso de instalación del controlador).
Nota importante: Los drivers del hub de alta velocidad están incluidos en la
mayoría de las tarjetas de actualización PCI para USB 2.0 que están preinstaladas
junto con los drivers para tarjetas PCI. Si adquirió una tarjeta de actualización antes
del lanzamiento del soporte para hub de alta velocidad, solicite información al
proveedor de su tarjeta PCI sobre los controladores actualizados para USB 2.0. El
controlador USB 2.0 de Belkin admite todas las tarjetas competitivas que existen en el
mercado basadas en el controlador de host NEC, con la excepción de Adaptec.

criterio, que resulta poco práctico el envío de los equipos dañados a Belkin International,
Inc, Belkin podrá designar, según su propio criterio, una empresa de reparación de
equipos para que inspeccione y estime el coste de la reparación de dichos equipos.
Los gastos, si existen, de envío del equipo a dicha empresa de reparaciones, y de su
valoración, correrán exclusivamente a cargo del comprador. El equipo dañado deberá
permanecer disponible para su inspección hasta que haya finalizado la reclamación. Si
se solucionan las reclamaciones por negociación, Belkin International, Inc se reserva el
derecho a subrogar la garantía por cualquier póliza de seguros del comprador.

Congratulazioni e grazie per aver acquistato il dispositivo USB Plus Hub di Belkin.
L’hub dispone di quattro porte USB per dati in entrata con tecnologia plug and play e
retrocompatibilità con tutti i dispositivi USB, compresi i dispositivi USB 1.1 (low-speed
e full-speed), e i dispositivi USB 2.0 (hi-speed). È adatto alle periferiche tra cui scanner,
stampanti, periferiche di memoria di massa e fotocamere ad alta risoluzione. L’hub è
autoalimentato, il che consente di collegare incascata altri hub supplementari fino ad
arrivare ad avere 127 dispositivi USB collegabili ad una sola porta.
Il dispositivo Hub consente di connettere le periferiche attraverso le porte sul retro o sul
lato superiore. Dedicare la porta superiore al collegamento di flash drive e lettori MP3 e
utilizzare le porte posteriori per altri dispositivi. Il sistema di gestione dei cavi permette
di ricordare facilmente quali cavi corrispondono ai dispositivi. L’hub è dotato di un LED

Installazione
Avviso importante: non collegare nessun dispositivo USB all’hub fino a quando non
viene richiesto nella fase 4 di questa procedura di installazione.
1. Inserire l’adattatore CA in una presa a muro o in una presa filtrata. Inserire il
connettore CC nel jack di alimentazione CC sul retro dell’hub.
Nota bene: l’hub può essere utilizzato senza alimentatore se usato con periferiche a
bassa potenza come tastiere e mouse.
2. Inserire l’estremità piatta del cavo del dispositivo USB fornito nella porta per dati
in entrata del computer o nella porta per dati in entrata di un altro hub. Quindi
collegare il mini connettore al cavo della periferica con la porta per dati in uscita sul
retro dell’hub.

Installazione
Importante: per funzionare ad alta velocità (velocità di trasferimento dati di 480
Mbps), l’hub deve essere collegato con un host conforme alla tecnologia USB 2.0. Se
l’hub viene collegato a un host conforme alle specifiche 1.1, funzionerà soltanto in
modalità low-speed o full-speed (1,5 Mbps/12 Mbps).
3. Windows rileverà l’hub e installerà i driver corretti. (il programma di installazione
guidata Windows “Install New Hardware Wizard” potrebbe richiedere l’inserimento
del CD di installazione per completare il processo di installazione dei driver).
Importante: i driver per hub USB 2.0 Hi-Speed sono forniti con la maggior parte
delle schede di espansione PCI USB 2.0 e sono preinstallati assieme ai driver della
scheda PCI. Se si è acquistata una scheda di espansione prima dell’immissione in
commercio del supporto per hub USB 2.0 Hi-Speed, richiedere un driver USB 2.0
aggiornato presso il proprio fornitore della scheda PCI. Il supporto per USB 2.0 HiSpeed supporta tutte le schede della concorrenza basate sul controller hot NEC, ad
eccezione di Adaptec.
4. Inserire il connettore USB A della periferica USB, o un hub aggiuntivo, in una qualsiasi
delle porte per dati in entrata dell’hub.
Importante: per spostare un dispositivo da una porta dell’hub all’altra, potrebbe
essere necessario reinstallare i driver USB per il dispositivo in questione.
