Lord, send out your Spirit,
and renew the face of the earth!
Today we celebrate the great Feast of
Pentecost, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the
Apostles. Let each one of us who has received the
sacrament of Confirmation, realize we too have been
graced with the outpouring of this same Spirit.
There are two Feasts of the Church Year on
which the Liturgy calls for a DzSequencedz to be sung
after the psalm. One of those feasts is today and the
other is Easter Sunday. The music we will use for this
purpose today is song #434, Come, O Holy Spirit. This
song is sung to the melody of Beethovenǯs Ode to Joy,
with which everyone is familiar. Below you will find
several verses of this song, so that you may take it
home with you and hum it to yourself during the
week.

of “SAMSON” in Lancaster, PA. The cost of

Registrations and re-registrations for the 2016 – 2017 school
year will still be accepted on May 16, 17, 23 and 24 according to the following schedule:

You must bring the following documentation:
-Birth Certificate
-Baptismal Certificate (even if the child was bap
tized in this parish)
-First Communion Certificate (If the child has al
ready received First Communion)
-One of your weekly church donation envelopes
verifying your “Church” Registration number (Families
wishing to have their children attend our program should be
registered in our Parish or any other Parish of this Diocese)
Tuition must be paid at the time of registration. The tuition
fee for the 2016-2017 school year will be the same as last year.
-Tuition Fee: Individual (1 child) $120
Family (2 or more children) $150
-Sacrament Preparation Fee (in addition to the
tuition fee):
-First Communion Preparation $50
-Confirmation Preparation $85
-Fees must be paid by cash, check or money
order. There will be no refund of the fees.
*Families with financial difficulties may participate in a
monthly payment plan.
If you are registering one of your children for the first time, please
call Cristina at the office (631-842-3545) before proceeding with
the re-registration process. She will provide you with additional
information.
•If your child is 6 years old or is in First Grade; he/she is ready to start
the First Communion Program.
•If your child is 12 years old or is in Seventh Grade; he/she is ready to
start the Confirmation Program.

Armed Forces Day
PENTECOST SUNDAY
Today is a great Christian holiday. Today is Pentecost, a day that ranks with Christmas and
Easter in its relative importance to the church.
Pentecost is the birthday of the church. The
church was born on that day so long ago when
the followers of Jesus were meeting in Jerusalem
and the Holy Spirit descended upon them.
It came from God like tongues of fire, and the
fire rested on each one of them, and they were
all filled with God's Spirit, and empowered for the
great work of God….. the sharing of the story of
Jesus Christ and the promise of salvation.
What a birthday party that must have been!
What a celebration they had! It was exciting!
The people there were rejoicing! It was a wild
and reckless time as they were filled with the
Spirit of God. Onlookers thought they were drunk
with new wine -- but it wasn't wine that made
them so happy. It was joy they felt at the birth
pangs of God's church.

Matka Boża Wniebowzięta
Przyjmujemy intencje na Msze św. na rok 2016. Ofiara
za intencję wynosi $15. Intencje należy zamawiać
w kancelarii parafialnej w godzinach pracy. Nie przyjmujemy intencji przez telefon.
Można również uczcić pamięć swoich bliskich poprzez
złożenie donacji na Eucharystyczny Chleb i Wino na
wybrany tydzień ($50): w intencji osób żyjących (z okazji rocznicy , urodzin lub w intencji dziękczynnej) lub
w intencji osób zmarłych.
Osoba mówiąca po polsku dyżuruje w kancelarii parafialnej w środy wieczorem w godz: 19:30-21:00 oraz
w soboty w godz: 9:00-11:00.

W każdą niedzielę maja na pół godziny przed Mszą

Ponadto w dni powszednie wieczorami o godz. 19:00
grupa osób gromadzi się przy figurze Matki Bożej na
zewnątrz kościoła, aby odmawiać Litanię Loretańską.
RYCERZE KOLUMBA - Rada nr 9267
Rada Rycerzy Kolumba przy naszej Parafii Matki Bożej
Wniebowziętej organizuje przyjęcie (pizza party) dla
ministrantów z naszej parafii. Przyjęcie odbędzie się
w niedzielę 22 maja o godz. 14:15 w sali pod kościołem.

PROGRAM POMOCY SOCJALNEJ (OUTREACH)
W tym tygodniu prosimy Was o puree ziemniaczane
w proszku lub ziemniaki w puszkach, polewę do ciast
(cake frosting), mleko w puszkach lub w proszku oraz
pastę do zębów. Przyjmujemy ponadto karty- gift cards.

Zapisy uczniów nowych oraz uczniów kontynuujących naukę
w naszym programie zostały przedłużone o kolejne trzy tygodnie
i będą odbywać się w budynku Centrum Edukacji Religijnej od
poniedziałku 9 maja do wtorku 24maja według następującego
rozkładu:
-w poniedziałki, godz: 13:00-20:00,
-we wtorki, godz: 10:00-13:00 oraz 14:00-16:00.
Formy rejestracyjne dla uczniów zapisywanych ponownie (kontynuujących naukę w naszym programie), które zostały do Państwa
rozesłane pocztą w marcu, mogą zostać zwrócone do naszego
Centrum osobiście lub odesłane pocztą, najpóźniej do 24 maja.
W przypadku zapisów uczniów nowych (zapisywanych po raz
pierwszy): Rodzice uczniów MUSZĄ przynieść ze sobą Metrykę
Chrztu Dziecka oraz jego Akt Urodzenia. Jeżeli dziecko przyjęło
już sakrament Eucharystii (Pierwsza Komunia Św.), to wówczas
prosimy o przyniesienie zaświadczenia potwierdzajacego przyjęcie
tego sakramentu.
Wszystkie powyższe wymagania muszą być spełnione nawet
jeżeli dziecko otrzymało sakramenty w naszej parafii. Nie
dotyczą one uczniów zapisywanych ponownie.
Należy także przynieść jedną z kopert używanych do składki z
wydrukowaną nazwą parafii oraz z Państwa nazwiskiem, adresem
oraz numerem ewidencyjnym. (Rodziny, które chciałyby, aby ich
dzieci uczęszczały na katechezę w naszym programie powinny być
zarejestrowane w naszej parafii lub w innej parafii naszej Diecezji.)
Opłaty za naukę należy uiścić podczas dokonywania zapisów.
Będą one takie same jak w roku ubiegłym.
Wysokość opłat:
- za jedno dziecko: $ 120
- za dwoje lub wiecej dzieci: $ 150
- Pierwsza Komunia Święta (klasa II) : $50
(tj. opłata za fotografa i materiały przygotowawcze)
- Bierzmowanie (klasa VIII i Prep 6): $85
(opłata za materiały, rekolekcje, strój na uroczystość)
*Rodziny znajdujące się w trudnej sytuacji finansowej
mogą uiszczać opłaty w miesięcznych ratach.
Jeżeli zapisują Państwo jedno ze swoich dzieci na katechezę
po raz pierwszy, to prosimy o skontaktowanie się przed dokonaniem ponownej rejestracji z Cristiną w biurze Centrum Edukacji Religijnej - tel. (631) 842-3545 (w języku angielskim). Udzieli ona dodatkowych informacji.
* Jeżeli Państwa dziecko ma 6 lat lub jest uczniem/uczennicą kl. I, to
zostanie ono zapisane do programu przygotowującego do przyjęcia
sakramentu Pierwszej Komunii św.
* Jeżeli Państwa dziecko ma 12 lat lub jest uczniem/uczennicą kl. VII,
to zostanie ono zapisane do programu przygotowującego do przyjęcia
sakramentu Bierzmowania.
