Early Childhood Training Institute
Safety & Security Procedures
CPR & First Aid–($125) June 5 or Saturday June 27 time:9am– 5pm; both American Red Cross CPR
certification and Infant & Child First Aid certifications are valid for 2 years.
Health and Safety–($250) June 1, 2 & 4 or 15, 16 & 18 time: 9am– 5pm or Saturday June 13 & 20 time:
9am– 5:30pm; required to become registered or licensed as a Family or Group Family Child Care
Provider in New York State.
Mandated Reporter– ($50)June 9 time: 1pm– 4pm; provides you with the knowledge and understanding
to make an informed decision in situations involving child abuse or maltreatment where reporting may
or may not be necessary.
Medication Administration Training–($250) June 3 or 24 time: 9am– 6pm; this training is required for
child care providers to administer medication to children in their programs. A $100 rebate is available
from MAT/SUNY upon successful completion of the MAT training. For more information on this

Child Development
($50 ea. training)
Creative Art in child care settings– June 10 time: 9am-12pm; introduces you to a developmental
approach to children’s creativity and self–expression while understanding how the arts can support
cognitive, physical, emotional and social development in all children.
Routines & Schedules– June 10 time: 1pm- 4pm; be able to create and develop practical usable daily
schedules to ensure arrival, diapering, toileting, clean-up, eating, resting, sleeping, dressing and
departure routines all contribute to children’s positive development.
Business and Management
Becoming a Child Care Provider- ($20) June 17 time: 9:30am-12pm; are you interested in being a part
of the child care team? Want to know how you can join? Come in and be a part of an informative
dialogue where all your questions concerning child care will be answered as best as possible. You’ll also
be guided through the process of becoming a NYS registered Family Child care Provider.
Fundraising Fundamentals- ($50) June 9 time: 9am– 12pm; in this lively session you’ll learn how to
identify the people in your midst who can help you raise funds for your organization. You’ll also be
taught how to engage family and community members in your fundraising campaigns. Note: please walk
with you address book (digital or paper).
Just Cause-
($50)
June 11 time: 9am– 12pm; explore the basic requirements of proper workplace
discipline and ensure that you have proper policies and procedures that can withstand employee
challenges.
Sharpening your advocacy skills- ($50) June 11 time: 1pm– 4pm; this workshop equips you with tactics
to employ in sharpening your advocacy to inform, convince and gain the results from meeting with
policymakers on all levels.
