Registered Independents may request an
early voting ballot of the party of their choice
from the County Recorder’s Office or request the ballot of their choice at the polls on
Election Day.

Can people with a past felony conviction
register and vote?
First time felons regain their civil rights
(including the right to vote) after they
complete their probation. If you are convicted
of two or more felonies you must ask the court

stalking keep their address private if they are
registered to vote?
Yes, you may keep your residence address
confidential. You will receive a substitute
address which will become your lawful address
for record.
How do people experiencing homelessness
register and vote?
You may use the following as your address
for voter registration:
o A homeless shelter you return to
regularly
o The place at which you are a resident
o The county courthouse in the county
you reside
o A general delivery address for a post
office covering the location where you
reside
