2015 Straub Summer Day Camp Participant Expectations
1. Camp participants are expected to arrive on time at 7:30 every morning to begin loading the vans to
depart promptly at 8. Please note that we will depart promptly at 8. CAMP STAFF ARE NOT
RESPONSIBLE FOR STUDENTS WHO DID NOT ARRIVE ON TIME AND ARE NOT ON THE FIELD TRIP FOR
THAT DAY.
2. Camp participants are expected to engage fully in the program activities. All students will be expected
to turn off their cell phones, ipods and other electronic music/communication devices once they arrive
at the Center each morning and for the duration of the day.
3. Camp participants are expected to treat the camp community (including other camp participants) with
respect at all times, including showing respect for another’s personal belongings, privacy, and feelings.
4. Camp participants will respect the camp’s facilities and equipment and not take or destroy camp
property.
5. Camp participants are expected to refrain from using obscene or foul language or gestures.
6. Camp participants will not engage in any activity which may put themselves or other camp participants
or staff at risk.
7. Camp participants will agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the camp and understand that he
or she is expected to follow directions and guidance provided by the camp staff.
8. Lastly, and most importantly, camp participants are expected to HAVE FUN!
Three Strike Policy
We expect all camp participants to behave in a way that is conducive to a safe and happy learning
atmosphere. We reserve the right to remove a child from the camp if disruptive behavior hinders our positive
learning environment.
1st strike: If a child is behaving inappropriately, he or she will be spoken to and a time-out will occur.
2nd strike: If poor behavior persists, parents will be notified at pickup that the child has again misbehaved.
3rd strike: If a third incident occurs, parents will be notified at pickup and the child will not be allowed to
return to camp.
My child, ______________________, does not suffer from any physical, mental or emotional issue outside of
the realm of a classroom teacher without access to a nurse, behavioral specialist or counselor and is socially
capable of participating fully in an active summer day camp. He/she is capable of hiking from 1/2 mile to 3
miles each day. My child understands that he/she is expected to interact with adult leaders and the other
participants in a respectful and appropriate manner at all times.

2015 Exploració Naturaleza campamento del verano – expectativas de los estudiantes
1. Los campistas tienen que llegar a la hora en punto a las 7:30 a.m. cada mañana. La transportación va a
salir inmediamente a las 8:00 a.m. La personal del campamento no tengan resposibilidad para los
estudiantes que estan tardes.
2. Esperamos que todos los campistas participarán completamente en las actividades. Los estudiantes se
apagara sus teléfonos celulares, iPods y música electrónica o dispositivos de comunicación entonces de
que salga del Centro y por la duración del día.
3. Esperamos que los campistas respetan el campamento; incluye todos los otros campistas, sus efectos
personales, y sentimientos.
4. Los campistas respectan la equipaje del campamento y no destruyirán la propiedad del campamento.
5. Los campistas no usarán lengua ni gestos indecente.
6. Los campistas no participarán en actividades que son peligrosos o pueden hacer daño a alguien.
7. Los campistas acordan seguir las reglas del campamento y van a seguir las direcciónes del personal.
8. ¡Último, y mas importante, los campistas se divertirán!
Póliza de Tres Errores
Nuestros expectaciones son que los participantes del campamento necesitan comportarse en una manera
bien y seguro para una atmósfera feliz y educativo. Si un estudiante no se comporta bien y es disruptivo para
el campo, nosotros tenemos la derecha de quitar el niño del campo.
Primer Error: Si un niño se comporta malo, alguien va a hablar con el niño y tiene que ir afuera de la clase por
un rato.
Segunda Error: Si el niño todavía no se comporta, los padres van a ser notificados en el fin de la dia.
Tercer Error: Si el niño no se comporta por el tercer vez, los padres van a ser notificados al fin de la dia y el
niño no puede regresar al campo.
