La Ley de Educación Primaria y Secundaria (Elementary and Secondary Education Act, ESEA) de 1965, exige notificar a los
padres o tutores de hijos que asisten a una escuela de Título I sobre qué tan bien la escuela preparando a los alumnos
para ir a la Universidad y/o tener una profesión, así como también el estado de designación escolar en función de la
Renuncia de Flexibilidad de la ley ESEA
de Georgia.
Bajo la Renuncia de Flexibilidad de la ley ESEA de Georgia, algunas escuelas de Título I son clasificadas como Escuelas de
Recompensa, Prioridad, Enfoque o Alerta. La Renuncia también permite el uso del Índice de Rendimiento de
Preparación para la Universidad y la Carrera Profesional (College and Career Ready Professional Indicator, CCRPI) que
sirve como un boletín de clasificaciones integrales para todas las escuelas en Georgia. El CCRPI proporciona un puntaje
entre 0 y 100 para cada escuela y cada sistema escolar, y ese puntaje mide qué tan bien la escuela y el sistema escolar
preparan a los alumnos para que tengan éxito en la universidad y la carrera profesional.
Since it takes a year after the state mandated test (CRCT) has been administered to collect all data and calculate
the CCRPI score; we are reporting our score for spring testing in 2013. Therefore our CCRPI score for the test
results from the spring of 2013 is 69. Our score and information along with a breakdown can be found at
www.ccrpi.gadoe.org. Since this score is based on factors other than student performance on the state test I will
schedule parent/guardian meetings to help you understand the categories and know what you can do to help us
improve our score going forward.
Although our CCRPI score for 2013 is relatively low I am very proud to tell you that Clay Elementary school
has not been given a school designation this year, which means we are continuing to provide a quality
education to all of our students.
Me enorgullece informarle que Clay Elemetary no recibió una designación escolar este año, lo que significa que
seguimos proveyendo educación de calidad a todos nuestros alumnos.
Overall our students continue making progress in Reading, Language Arts, and math. Of the three areas math is
weakest and we will continue to have parent nights to help you understand how to help your child. Although our
math is not “new math” it is presented differently so that our students will be able to go beyond remembering
math to understanding the mathematical process and increase number sense. We are proud to say that even our
Students with Disabilities have made continuous progress on the CRCT each year since 2010. Although our
Social Studies and Science scores for all students did not exceed the standards our students continue to
demonstrate improvement in these academic areas each year and that also includes our Students with
Disabilities.
The achievement gap that exists between our Black and English Language Learners is one that we continuously
monitor. In addition, we are monitoring the achievement gap between our Students with Disabilities and all
student groups. We monitor student performance data in reading and math monthly during our teacher’s
collaborative planning/data team meetings and they design strategies to address student deficiencies in all
academic areas.
En Clay Elementary nos enorgullecemos de la enseñanza que brindamos a sus hijos. Nuestros docentes y miembros del
personal trabajan duro para satisfacer las necesidades de todos los alumnos a fin de garantizar que logren todo su
potencial.
Una parte importante del éxito de Clay Elementary es la participación y el apoyo de los padres en el desarrollo de
actividades que mejoren los logros de los alumnos. Esperamos que participe en nuestro trabajo de mejora escolar a
