Experience and professionalism of our technical
and production staff have always been oriented
towards conversion of craftmade experience
and methods into a technology able to
manufacture articles having an high aesthetic

The modelling department of NIV consists of
a team of technicians, technologists and
modellers with long-standing tradition and
experience in the production of sanitaryware
as well as in the production of the
corresponding plants and these advantages
have been strengthened by the new guarantees
which only SACMI can provide.
NIV was founded in 1968 and distinguished
itself through quality and experience in the
construction of machines and plants for the
ceramic industry. This activity has been
accomplished by supplying modern plants to
the most important manufacturers of
sanitaryware articles all over the world, such
as Ceramica Dolomite, Cesame, Duravit, Roca,
Porsan, Sangrés, Sanitana, Sanindustria,
Villeroy & Boch, Dong Su, Hokuriku, Inax,
Briggs, Kohler, Eczacibasi, Toprak, Inker,
Morvarid, Ideal Sanitaire and many others.

Il design, la tecnologia e l’esperienza
del “fatto a mano” costituiscono la chiave della
produzione NIV. La professionalità dello staff
tecnico e produttivo è orientata da
sempre nel tradurre l’esperienza e le
metodologie artigianali in tecnologia capace
di produrre oggetti ad alto valore estetico.
Il reparto modellazione NIV è costituito
da un team di tecnici, tecnologi e modellisti
che può vantare una lunghissima tradizione
ed esperienza sia nel campo della produzione
dei sanitari che in quello della produzione
delle relative macchine e a queste prerogative
si aggiunge oggi una nuova garanzia,
quella del nome SACMI.
Fondata nel 1968, la NIV si è particolarrmente
distinta per qualità ed esperienza nella
costruzione di macchine ed impianti per
l’industria ceramica. Questa attività si è
concretizzata nella fornitura di moderni impianti
ai più importanti produttori di aricoli sanitari in
tutto il mondo, come ad esempio Ceramica
Dolomite, Cesame, Duravit, Roca, Porsan,
Sangrés, Sanitana, Sanindustria, Villeroy &
Boch, Dong Su, Hokuriku, Inax, Briggs, Kohler,

La profesionalidad del staff técnico y de
producción está desde siempre orientada a
traducir la experiencia y las metodologías
artesanales en tecnología capaz de producir

El departamento de modelado de NIV
cuenta con un equipo de ténicos, tecnólogos
y diseñadores que puede gloriarse de una
dilatada tradición y experiencia tanto en
el campo de la producción de sanitarios como
en el de la fabricación de las máquinas
correspondientes, debiéndose añadir, hoy en
día, a estas prerrogativas una garantía nueva:
el nombre de SACMI.
Fundada en 1968, NIV se ha particularmente

STUDY OF THE
PLASTER MODEL
In the eighties, NIV went through an intensive
development period and became one of
the leading companies in the field of pressure
casting plants.
In order to meet the requirements of this new
technology and to be in a position of
submitting complete solutions to the customer,
a special modelling department emerged
inside NIV.

IN GESSO
NIV ha registrato un notevole sviluppo
nel corso degli anni ‘80, diventando una
delle aziende leader nel settore degli impianti
per il colaggio a pressione.
Proprio per rispondere alle esigenze di questa
nuova tecnologia e per poter proporre
al cliente delle soluzioni complete, all’interno
della NIV nacque un reparto speciale per la
modellazione.

NIV tuvo un importante desarrollo en los años
80, llegando a ser una empresa líder en
el sector de los equipos para el vaciado a
presión.
Precisamente con el fin de adecuarse a las
exigencias de esta nueva tecnología y para
poder sugerir al cliente unas soluciones
completas, en el seno de NIV se ha creado
un departamento especialmente dedicado
al modelado.

After the integration of NIV into the SACMI
Group, the modelling department has been
further reinforced and can now assist the
customer in the following working stages:
● study and development of the model;
● development of the plaster mould;
● manufacture of the case mould.

en condiciones de asistir al cliente en

OF THE FINAL RESULTS
The expansion of the modelling department
now allows complete casting and firing tests
on pilot plants in the technical laboratory of
SACMI.
These tests can be effected with the use of
the raw materials and firing curves of the
customer in order to simulate the real
production conditions.

DEI RISULTATI FINALI
Lo sviluppo della modellazione include anche
l’esecuzione di test completi di colaggio
e cottura presso gli impianti pilota del
laboratorio tecnologico SACMI.
Questi test vengono condotti utilizzando le
materie prime e le curve di cottura del forno
del cliente, al fine di avvicinarsi il più
possibile alle reali condizioni di produzione.

RESULTADOS FINALES
El desarrollo del modelado incluye también
la ejecución de pruebas completas de
vaciado y de cocción en las plantas piloto
del laboratorio tecnológico de SACMI.
Dichas pruebas se realizan utilizando las
materias primas y las curvas de cocción
del horno del cliente, con el fin de que las
condiciones de producción se acerquen
cuanto más posible a las reales.

The modelling department of NIV is today
in a position to supply the right case moulds
for all casting technologies used in
sanitaryware, i.e.:
● case moulds for plaster moulds to be used
for manual casting or on mechanized
benches;
● case moulds for resin or special plaster
moulds to be used on high, medium or
low pressure casting plants;
● case moulds or plaster moulds type
“drained system”.
The activity of the modelling department
of NIV distinguishes itself in the constant
research of new products and new techniques
for the construction of case moulds and
casting moulds.

Il reparto di modellazione della NIV è oggi
in grado di fornire le matrici adeguate per
tutte le tecnologie di colaggio sanitari
attualmente in uso e cioè:
● Matrici per forme in gesso da utilizzarsi
per il colaggio manuale o su banchi
meccanizzati;
● Matrici per forme in resina o in gesso
speciale da utilizzarsi su impianti di
colaggio ad alta, media o bassa pressione.
● Matrici per forme in gesso tipo
“drained system”.
L’attività del reparto modellazione
della NIV si contraddistingue per la costante
ricerca di nuovi prodotti e di nuove
metodologie per la costruzione di madriforme
e forme di lavoro.

El departamento de modelado de NIV está
en condiciones de suministrar hoy en día las
matrices adecuadas para toda tecnología
de vaciado de sanitarios actualmente usados,
o sea:
● Matrices para moldes de yeso a utilizar
para el vaciado manual o en bancos
mecanizados.
● Matrices para moldes en resina o en yeso
especial a utilizar en equipos de vaciado
a alta, media o baja presión.
● Matrices para moldes de yeso tipo
“drained system”.
La actividad del departamento de modelado
de NIV destaca por la constante búsqueda
de nuevos productos y de nuevas
metodologías para la fabricación de matrices
y moldes para el trabajo.

the customer’s site, the modelling department
of NIV makes use of not only the technical
laboratory but also the commercial network
