Many German restaurant and bars host a "very real" Oktoberfest also on the Canary Islands. The domestic people on the Islands love these parties and therefore Fiestas de la Cervezas are booming . Beside of Gáldar and Vega de San Mateo also the capital Las Palmas jumped on this train since last ear. The beautiful old town Vegueta, specifically the C / Pelota including secondary roads, were the scene of the beer festival at 10 which all participating restaurateurs are helding an Oktoberfest. The streets are decorated and hve original wooden tables and benches. Of course live music is offered too. Regarding the original costumes you have to be a little bit tolerant because usually you see the waitresses with bavarian costumes from carnival stores. But one was almost rewarded with applause and admiring glances if you pass by dressed in a real dirndl or leather on tour (We have tested it). After the great success last year of "LPA Beerfest" is quite likely that it will take place again. Moringa, the so called Tree of Life has been known and used for thousands of years. During the last decades this plant (bot. MORINGA - the tree of life Moringa oleifera) has created quite a storm worldwide and not only for the herbalists. Scientists are increasingly promoting vast experiments and studies about the outstanding potential of the Moringa Tree. This plant can be considered as allrounder and the climate conditions on the Canary Islands are ideal for quick growth. Moringa tree has seven times the vitamin C of oranges, four times of vitamin A of carrots, four times of calcium of milk, three times the potassium of bananas and twice the protein of yogurt. In no other plant, the proportion of antioxidants is as high as in Moringa. These antioxidants are important to eliminate harmful toxins from our body. In the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCO) moringa is used to combat anaemia, asthma, blood impurities, blood pressure abnormalities, chest congestion, cholera, cought, diabetes, infections etc. Moringa can improve the fat metabolism. Moringa is a good supplier of proteins, vitamins (C, A and E) amino acids, iron, calcium, etc. The plant contains 18 of the 20 essential amino acids of our body. Protein building blocks are important for transporting oxygen in the blood. Therefore Moringa is also good for our brain function, concentration and can help with dementia. It is also ideal for cleaning drinking water. Countless studies prove now the healing properties of Moringa. PETS IN CARS In Gran Canaria pets are permitted in cars adequately secured. This means, that they must be in a separate, safety area divided with a net from the driving area or with a car harness (seat belt for dogs). Thousands of pets in the Canary Islands are abandones and therefore live in very bad conditions without food and water. Tara Animal Respect Association and their volunteers rescue every day dogs and cats as many other organizations. They try to rehome these pets also in other countries throughout Europe.
