Requirements
Source Device
• HDMI Type A output connector(s)
Note: A DVI/HDMI adapter is required when connecting a DVI source
device.
Display Device
• Up to 2 display devices or receivers with an HDMI Type A input connector
Cables
• 4 HDMI cables
Note: 1. No cables are included in this package. We strongly recommend
that you purchase high-quality cables of appropriate length since
this will affect the quality of the audio and video display. Contact
your dealer to purchase the correct cable sets.
2. If you wish to utilize the VS482’s high-end serial controller
function, you will also need to purchase an appropriate RS-232
cable.

For convenience and flexibility, the VS482 can be mounted on system racks.
To rack mount a unit do the following:
1. Using the screws provided in the Rack Mount Kit, screw the mounting
bracket into the side of the unit as show in the diagram
2. Screw the bracket into any convenient location on the rack.
Note: These screws are not provided. We recommend that you use M5 x
12 Phillips Type I cross, recessed type screws.
The 4-Port Dual View HDMI Switch offers easy and flexible source device
selection with either the front panel pushbuttons, with the remote control, or
through the RS-232 serial interface.

Manual Selection
To select a source device, press the pushbutton that corresponds to the port
to which it is connected.
Installation of the VS482 is simply a matter of plugging in the appropriate
cables.
To select a source device with the remote control, press the number button
that corresponds to the port to which it is connected.
To install the switch, refer to the installation diagram as you perform the
following steps:
1. Use an HDMI cable to connect the HDMI input port on the video display
device to the HDMI output port on the rear of the VS482.
2. Use HDMI cables to connect the HDMI output ports on the source
device(s) to the HDMI input ports on the VS482.
3. Plug the provided power adapter into an appropriate AC power source;
plug the power adapter cable into the Power Jack on the VS482.
4. Connect your audio devices (such as speakers or AVRs) to the Stereo
Audio Ports or Digital Audio Ports.
5. (Optional) To edit the VS482 system settings through the RS-232 port,
connect the hardware / software controller here.
RS-232 Serial Interface
The VS482’s built-in bi-directional RS-232 serial interface allows system
control through a high-end controller, PC, and/or home automation / home
theater software package.

Note: The OSD function is disabled while 3D content is being displayed.
Switch to 2D content or a different input port to enable the OSD.
This completes the basic installation of the VS482 4-Port Dual View HDMI

Pour un plus grand confort, le commutateur VS482 peut être monté sur bâti.
Pour monter une console sur bâti, procédez comme suit :
1. Vissez le support de montage sur bâti sur le côté de l'appareil à l'aide des
vis fournies, comme indiqué sur le schéma.
2. Vissez le support au bâti à n’importe quel endroit vous semblant adapté.
Remarque : les vis ne sont pas fournies. Il est conseillé d'utiliser 12 vis
M5 à empreinte cruciforme Phillips de type 1.

Remarque : 1. aucun câble n’est fourni avec le produit. Il est vivement
conseillé d'acheter des câbles de haute qualité d'une
longueur appropriée afin d'éviter que la qualité audio et

2. Si vous souhaitez utiliser la fonction de contrôleur série
haut de gamme du VS482, vous devrez aussi acheter un

Fonctionnement
Le commutateur HDMI double port à 4 ports permet de sélectionner
rapidement et simplement le périphérique source désiré à l’aide des
boutons du panneau avant, de la télécommande ou de l’interface série RS232.
Sélection manuelle
Pour sélectionner manuellement un périphérique source, appuyez sur le
bouton correspondant au port auquel il est connecté.

L’installation du VS482 se résume simplement à connecter les câbles
appropriés.
Pour installer le commutateur, reportez-vous au schéma d'installation pour
effectuer les étapes suivantes :
1. Utilisez un câble HDMI pour relier le port d’entrée HDMI du périphérique
d’affichage au port de sortie HDMI situé à l’arrière du commutateur
VS482.
2. Utilisez des câbles HDMI pour relier les ports de sortie HDMI du ou des
périphériques source aux ports d’entrée HDMI du commutateur VS482.
3. Branchez une extrémité de l’adaptateur secteur fourni sur une prise de
courant adaptée et l’autre extrémité sur la prise d’alimentation du VS482.
4. Connectez vos périphériques audio (enceintes ou récepteur audio-vidéo)
aux ports audio stéréo ou aux ports audio numériques.
5. (Facultatif) Pour modifier les réglages du système VS482 par le biais du
port RS-232, connectez ici le contrôleur matériel/logiciel.
Sélection par télécommande
Pour sélectionner un périphérique source à l’aide de la télécommande,
appuyez sur la touche numérique correspondant au port auquel il est
connecté.

L’OSD (affichage à l’écran) sert à pour l’affichage des paramètres de
configuration du système et d’autres informations
Remarque : La fonction OSD est désactivée lorsqu’un contenu 3D est
affiché. Passez en 2D ou basculez sur un autre port d’entrée
pour activer l’OSD.
L'installation de base du commutateur du commutateur HDMI double vue
à 4 ports VS482 est alors terminée. Vous pouvez à présent allumer les

Um mehr Flexibilität und Komfort zu bieten, kann der VS482 im Rack
eingebaut werden.
Um ein Gerät im Rack einzubauen, gehen Sie folgendermaßen vor:
1. Verwenden Sie die mitgelieferten Schrauben, um den Montagewinkel auf
die Geräteseite zu schrauben (siehe das Diagramm).
2. Verschrauben Sie den Winkel mit einem freien und geeignet gelegenen
Einschub am Rack.
Hinweis: Die Schrauben sind nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten. Wir
empfehlen die Verwendung von Kreuzschlitzschrauben des
Typs M5 x 12 mit versenktem Kopf.
Installation
Bedienung
Der Dual-View-HDMI-Switch mit 4 Ports bietet eine einfache Auswahl der
gewünschten Signalquelle über die vorderseitigen Drucktasten, über die
Fernbedienung oder über die serielle RS-232-Schnittstelle.
Manuelle Auswahl
Um eine Signalquelle auszuwählen, drücken Sie den Drucktaster, der den
Port des angeschlossenen Gerätes darstellt.

Die Installation des VS482 ist mit ein paar wenigen Kabelanschlüssen
erledigt.
Für die Durchführung der folgenden Installationsschritte für den Switch,
siehe das Installationsdiagramm:
1. Verbinden Sie die HDMI-Eingangsbuchse am Video-Anzeigegerät mit
dem HDMI-Ausgang an der Rückseite des VS482. Verwenden Sie dazu
ein HDMI-Kabel.
2. Verbinden Sie die HDMI-Ausgänge der Signalquelle(n) mit den HDMIEingängen am VS482. Verwenden Sie dazu je ein HDMI-Kabel.
3. Schließen Sie das mitgelieferte Netzteil an eine stromführende Steckdose
an, und verbinden Sie das Kabel des Netzteils mit dem VS482.
4. Schließen Sie Ihre Audiogeräte (z.B. Lautsprecher oder Verstärker) an
die Stereo- oder Digitalausgänge an.
5. (Optional) Um die Systemeinstellungen des VS482 über den RS-232Port einstellen zu können, schließen Sie hier den Hardware-/SoftwareController an.
Auswahl per Fernbedienung
Um eine Signalquelle über die Fernbedienung auszuwählen, drücken Sie
die Zifferntaste mit der Nummer, die den Port des angeschlossenen Gerätes
darstellt.
Serieller RS-232-Port
Über die bidirektionale RS-232-Schnittstelle des VS482 ist die
Systemsteuerung über einen hochwertigen Controller, PC oder über eine
Hausautomatisierungs- bzw. Heimkinosoftware möglich.
OSD-Einstellung

Bildschirmmenü (OSD) zur Systemkonfiguration und Informationsanzeige
Hinweis: Während 3D-Inhalte wiedergegeben werden, bleibt das
Bildschirmmenü deaktiviert. Um das OSD-Bildschirmmenü
verwenden zu können, müssen Sie zunächst auf 2D oder einen
anderen Eingangsport umschalten.
Damit ist die Installation des Dual-View-HDMI-Switches mit 4 Ports
VS482 abgeschlossen. Jetzt können Sie die Anzeigegeräte und die
Grafiksignalquellen einschalten.

Para un mayor confort y más flexibilidad, el VS482 puede montarse en un
rack.
Para montar un equipo en el rack, haga lo siguiente:
1. Atornille como se indica en el siguiente diagrama la escuadra de montaje
en el lateral de la unidad con los tornillos incluidos.
2. Atornille la escuadra en una posición deseada del rack.
Nota: los tornillos necesarios no vienen incluidos con la unidad. Le

Per una maggiore comodità e flessibilità, il VS482 può essere montato in
rack.
Per montare in rack il dispositivo, procedere come segue:
1. Utilizzando le viti fornite con il kit di montaggio in rack, avvitare le staffe a
lato del dispositivo come illustrato in figura.
2. Avvitare i supporti per il montaggio sul rack.
Nota: Le viti per il montaggio in rack non vengono fornite. Si consiglia di
utilizzare M5 x 12 viti a croce.
Installazione

L’installazione del VS482 si limita al collegamento dei cavi.
Per installare lo switch, fare riferimento all’illustrazione sull’installazione
mentre si eseguono i seguenti passaggi:
1. Usare un cavo HDMI per collegare la porta in entrata HDMI del
dispositivo video alla porta in uscita HDMI sul retro del VS482.
2. Usare i cavi HDMI per collegare le porte in uscita HDMI del/dei
dispositivo/i sorgente alle porte in entrata HDMI del VS482.
3. Inserire la spina dell’alimentatore in dotazione in una presa di corrente
CA, quindi inserire il cavo dell’alimentatore nella presa d’alimentazione
del VS482.
4. Collegare i dispositivi audio (come altoparlanti o AVR alle porte audio
stereo o a quelle audio digitale.
5. (Opzionale) Per modificare le impostazioni di sistema del VS482 tramite
porta RS-232, collegare qui il controller hardware/software.
Così facendo, l’installazione base dello switch HDMI VS482 a 4 porte Dual
View è completata. A questo punto è possibile accendere lo schermo e i
dispositivi sorgente.
Funzionamento
Lo switch HDMI a 4 porte Dual View VS482 consente una facile e flessibile
selezione del dispositivo sorgente tramite i pulsanti anteriori, il telecomando
o l’interfaccia seriale RS-232.
Selezione manuale
Per selezionare un dispositivo sorgente, premere il pulsante corrispondente
alla porta a cui è collegato il dispositivo.
Selezione da telecomando
Per selezionare un dispositivo sorgente tramite telecomando, premere il
pulsante numerato corrispondente alla porta a cui è collegato il dispositivo.
Interfaccia seriale RS-232
L'interfaccia RS-232 bidirezionale incorporata nel VS482 consente di
controllare il sistema tramite un sofisticato controller, PC, e/o pacchetto
software per la domotica/home theater.

• お使いのシステムで接続されているすべてのデバイスの電源がOFFになってい

ラックマウント

VS482はシステムラックにマウントすることで、便利で柔軟にお使いいただけ
ます。
製品をラックにマウントする場合は、下記の手順に従って操作してください。
1. ラックマウントキットに同梱されているネジを使って、下図のようにマウン
ト用ブラケットを製品側面に取り付けてください。
2. 手順1で取り付けたマウント用ブラケットを、システムラックの使いやすい場
所に取り付けてください。
注意: ラックに固定する際に使用するネジは製品に同梱されていません。お
使いのラックに適したネジを別途ご用意ください。
セットアップ

VS482 のセットアップに必要となる作業は、ケーブルを適切に接続するだけで
す。
本製品をセットアップする場合は、接続図を参考にしながら、下記の手順に従
って作業を行ってください。
1. ビデオ出力デバイスのHDMI入力ポートとVS482リアパネルにあるHDMI 出
力ポートをHDMIケーブルで接続してください。
2. ソースデバイスのHDMI 出力ポートとVS482のHDMI 入力ポートをHDMIケ
ーブルで接続してください。
3. 製品同梱の電源アダプターをAC 電源に接続し、このアダプターのコード部
分をVS482の電源ジャックに接続してください。
4. お使いのオーディオデバイス(スピーカーやAVRなど)を、ステレオオーディ
オポートまたはデジタルオーディオポートに接続してください。
5. (オプション) VS482のシステム設定をRS-232ポート経由で編集する場合
は、ここにハードウェア/ソフトウェアコントローラーを接続してください。
• セットアップするデバイスが適切に接地されていることを確認してください。

操作方法
本製品は、フロントパネルのプッシュボタン操作やリモコン操作、またRS-232
シリアルインターフェースを介して、簡単かつ柔軟にソースデバイスを選択す
ることができます。
マニュアル選択
ソースデバイスを選択する場合は、このソースデバイスが接続されたポートに
対応したプッシュボタンを押してください。
リモコンによる選択
リモコンでソースデバイスを選択する場合は、このデバイスが接続しているポ
ートに対応した番号のボタンを押してください。
RS-232シリアルインターフェース
VS482内蔵の双方向RS-232シリアルインターフェースを使うことで、ハイエ
ンドコントローラー、PC やホームオートメーション/ホームシアターソフトウ
ェアパッケージを介してシステムを制御することができます。
