RIPTA bus and trolley schedules are updated three times
a year—in January, June and September. Be sure to
pick up a new schedule at those times.
Children
Low income persons with a disability or age 65 and above
may ride free of charge with a RIPTA No Fare ID Pass.
All other persons age 65 and above or with a disability pay
full fare during RIPTA peak hours of service (7 am - 9 am
and 3 pm - 6 pm) on weekdays and pay 1/2 fare all other
times upon presentation of a RIPTA ID Pass for seniors
and persons with disablilities or a Medicare ID Card.
Click on the Trip Planner (under Schedules
and Fares) on ripta.com, type in where you
want to go and at what time. The Trip Planner will
then show you how to use RIPTA to reach your
destination. You can also use our web site to find
connections to other transportation systems such
as Amtrak, T.F. Green Airport and the MBTA.
Easy to Ride
The RI Public Transit Authority (RIPTA), the public
transit provider for Rhode Island, offers a variety of
transportation options linking you to work, school,
shopping, medical facilities and other activities throughout
the Ocean State. Use this guide to find the RIPTA
services that best fit your travel needs.
Welcome to RIPTA
All RIPTA vehicles are equipped with wheelchair lifts
and, in compliance with the Americans with
Disabilities Act (ADA), RIPTA bus operators make
ADA stop announcements at key stop locations.
To reach RIPTA's ADA Coordinator, call
401-784-9500, x 153.
