’ mostholytrinityministries.org. OUR BLESSED LORD WILL DRY THE TEARS AND LIFT THE NATIONS’ MOURNING VEIL DESTROYING DEATH FOREVER TE INVITO A UN BANQUETE To realize his dream of circumnavigation Columbus was inspired by St. Paul’s confident writings: “Whatever provisions you need, you can do all things with faith in God who strengthens you.” Young Christopher Columbus grew up in the port city of Genoa, Italy and was familiar with today’s Bible verses: “God will provide for his faithful a banquet of rich juicy food and pure choice wines.” Imagine a young lad listening to his mariner dad’s stories at sea at a time when there was no refrigeration and little salt to preserve aging meat. Christopher’s dad did not agree with the teachers who taught that the earth was flat and if one sailed too far out to sea the ship would fall into oblivion or be swallowed up by sea monsters. Mr. Columbus told Chris: “Your head is round as is your mouth. Look at the round sun and moon. God made the world round too!” Christopher looked out to sea unafraid and filled with his father’s dream of getting to the spices of the orient to enjoy a rich banquet as prophet Isaiah foretold. JESUS CONFRONTS THE ELDERS The banquet of Jesus’ Father is an invitation to all nations to live beyond want to a shared banquet. Psalm 23 was in Jesus’ home: “The Lord God is my Shepherd, there is nothing I want.” The chief priests and elders maintained their elite life-style by making sure in their stories that the young would never leave their village home let alone cross the dreaded ocean. Needs of the local farm and business led them to ignore the invitation of the prophets and silence God’s messengers through mistreatment and killing.
