CELEBRATING THE EUCHARIST
4:00 PM SATURDAY MASS
Beginning June 11th through September 3rd,
there will be a Mass at 4:00 PM every
Saturday at Holy Trinity Catholic School in
Longs. There will be Confession before Mass
from 2:30 to 3:30 PM.
We hope this additional Mass will be the perfect solution for
you if you wish to avoid the busy summer traffic in North
Myrtle Beach on a Saturday afternoon.
Directions to Holy Trinity from Our Lady Star of the Sea.
Turn left onto Highway 17, turn right on Robert Edge Parkway.
Continue on the parkway (2 traffic lights). After second light,
go straight and the road will continue on to Highway 90
(toward Conway). After approximately 4 miles, look for large
billboard with ad for Holy Trinity Catholic School and make a
right onto Star Bluff Rd. Continue for about one mile and
make a right turn at the sign for Holy Trinity.
WELCOME THE VISITING MADONNA
While we are encouraged to embrace Jesus’ cross,
perhaps the next best thing we can do as the faithful
is to turn to the Blessed Mother for
guidance…”Blessed Mother, please help me.” As
human beings, we can’t do everything. But the
Blessed Mother can go to her Son Jesus and do
wonders.
The Knights of Columbus are offering intimate prayer
devotions in your own homes to all parishioners so that every
family may experience visitation for one week from our Visiting
Madonna. Families will begin to experience a sense of peace,
quiet and reflection while saying the Rosary as a family with Our
Lady. The family that prays together stays together. If you are
interested in participating in welcoming the Visiting Madonna,
please call Sam Konrad at (843) 399-7003 or email him at
[email protected].

tuion for their child/children. Although the school provides tuion assistance for many families, it is never enough.
Some parishioners sponsor students each year by providing a full or paral tuion for these students. If you would like

There are Giving Trees located in the narthex of the church and in the hall on the school campus. The tags on the trees
list items that would be beneficial to Holy Trinity as it begins its eighth year of providing quality Catholic educaon.
Along with the item is a donaon amount that would cover the cost of the item listed. If you would like to make a
donaon, simply put the item amount into the envelope and drop it in the collecon basket or leave it at the church or
school offices. In the past, Giving Tree items have had a huge impact on the educaonal program at the school. The
Giving Trees will remain at the church and the school through the Labor Day weekend.

OLSS DISASTER
PREPAREDNESS HURRICANE
SEASON IS HERE
Every year, OLSS tries to identify parishioners
who have no one to help them in the event of
an emergency. If you feel you may need help evacuating to a
shelter or simply need assistance in preparing your home for an
impending disaster (e.g. turning off water, secure windows,
secure outdoor furniture, bring outside items in, etc.) please let
us know by calling the Church office by June 30th. We have
volunteers to be a “buddy”.
In addition, we are still looking for a few more volunteers to be
members of the OLSS Disaster Team. If you are interested in
helping parishioners with any of the above, please call Rosie in
the Church office. Also, it is not too early to start preparing in
the event of a hurricane. Information is readily available from
the Chamber of Commerce, insurance companies, food store
info racks, etc. OLSS also has an information packet, which also
lists pet friendly motels in case an evacuation is necessary.
Stop by the office to pick up a copy.

I wish to thank everyone who participated in my "Farewell

were poured out on me with such generosity. I've been
blessed to serve among you here at OLSS with the best

the same from you.

the families who struggle to make ends meet. Your
financial donations and food contributions are
our only means of support for this growing need
in the North Myrtle Beach Communities.
These programs could not exist without You
Thank You,

DECIMO CUARTO DOMINGO DEL TIEMPO ORDINARIO
"MISION DE LOS SETENTA Y DOS DISCIPULOS"
(Evangelio según San Lucas 10,1-20).
Queridos Hermanos:
Jesús envía a
-No estar
Padre Orlando.
