The 2015 Calendar features 11 beautiful child models pictured in scenes created by them, our heroes. We asked our heroes to illustrate what they believed a hero to be - what they believed they, as a hero, would go out and do in the world. Although our models represent various scenes of rescue and strength, they share a common bond: cancer. The focus of the calendar is to highlight how all these children share a bond of Hope for all brave children fighting cancer. YOU ARE OUR HEROES. Featured in the cover shot are firefighters of the San Manuel Fire Department that include Engineer Mike Tidswell, Firefighter Frank Inzirillo, Captain Bryan Daniels, and Engineer Greg Regan. San Manuel Band of Mission Indians has sponsored the production of the calendar, photographed by Johnny Jaquez Photography. We’d also like to thank Superfly Kids for embracing our vision for the calendars theme and providing the superhero capes for each child. Find additional information about our photographer on their website! – www.johnnyjaquezphotography.com. The calendar sales as well as our other fundraisers help us to continue the much needed services we provide. Calendars are NOW AVAILABLE on-line at www.ccfsocal.org/calendar. Also available at the CCFSC Office (11155 Mt. View Ave #105, Loma Linda 92354) for $10 each. While supplies last. Teen Connection is a service to adolescents who have been diagnosed with cancer. Being a teen is very difficult and having cancer compounds that difficulty. Being able to speak and interact with other teens experiencing cancer can be helpful. This is where Teen Connection steps in. Teen Connection meets various times throughout the year. For more information visit: www.ccfsocal.org/Teens JANUARY 10, 2015 Medieval Times Teen Connection welcomed the New Year with a feast and a show at Medieval Times in Buena Park in January. The group cheered on their Blue Knight as they enjoyed a meal of the medieval century, roasted chicken – or as they called it: baby dragon! - with ribs and many more delicious treats.
