Parent and Student Instrument Contract
I,
, agree to and will observe the following rules in order to

receive all of the benefits of this program.
1. Respect – for myself and others, including students, teachers, staff as well as the property of others.
2. Daily Practice – at least 30 minutes.
3. Offer Support – The parent or guardian will help by:
 Helping the student to organize his/her time in order to ensure daily practice
 Offering an appropriate place for daily practice, away from distractions like the radio or
television
 Providing support so that the student remains committed and interested in the program and its
requirements
 Keeping a daily record of practice time (when required by the teacher)
4. Listening – to recordings of the assigned pieces (as required by the teacher)
5. Attendance – at all classes, juries, rehearsals, recitals and required field trips. You are required to
arrive at least 10 minutes early to all classes. This will allow classes to begin on time. Students who
are tardy to or absent from class more than twice during a semester will be placed on probation.
Parents are required to attend parent meetings at the beginning of each semester.
6. Concert Attendance – Students must participate in student recitals; dates are provided by mail and
on Harmony Project calendars. Students are also required to attend at least one faculty concert per
semester. We strongly encourage our students to attend concerts outside of Harmony Project as
well as Harmony Project musical field trips.
7. Care for the Instrument Appropriately – The student/parents will be responsible for the care and
maintenance of the instruments they receive, including payment for repairs/ replacement needed
for damage caused by the student. Please notify the teacher immediately if there is problem with
the instrument (broken string, broken instrument, etc.). All repairs must be arranged through the
Harmony Project office. Please do not attempt to repair an instrument yourself.
8. All students should behave in a manner that is conducive to a positive learning experience.
9. Please ask for permission before leaving the class or room.
10. Do not touch anything that does not belong to you.

, me comprometo a cumplir fielmente las siguientes reglas, para

así beneficiarme del Harmony Project..
1. Respeto – hacia mi mismo y hacia otros. Repetaré a mis compañeros, a mis profesores y a los
trabajadores del Harmony Project, teniendo especial consideración por la propiedad de los demás.
2. Practicaré Diariamente – por lo menos 30 minutos.
3. Ofrecer Apoyo – Padre ó acudiente contribuirá comprometiendose a:
Ayudar al estudiante organizar su tiempo para poder practicar diariamente
Ofrecer un lugar apropiado para practicar diariamente, sin distracciones como la televisión o la
radio.
Motivar al estudiante para que continue interesado en el programa y sus requerimientos.
Mantener un registro del tiempo que el estudiante practica diariamente y semanalmente (sólo
cuando sea requerido por el maestro)
4. Escuchar grabaciones de las piezas requeridas.
5. Asistencia - a todas las clases, jurados, ensayos, recitales y salidas obligatorias. Es impresindible
llegar al menos 10 minutos antes a todas las clases, esto premitirá que empiecen a tiempo. Los
alumnos que falten o lleguen tarde a clase mas de dos veces por semestre, serán puestos bajo
matricula condicional. Los padres o acudientes deberán asistir a la reunión de padres de familia al
principio de cada semestre.
6. Asistencia a Conciertos – Todos los estudiantes deberán participar en los recitales estudiantiles,
cuyas fechas son proporcionadas por correo con el Calendario de Harmony Project. También es
requerido que los estudiantes asistan a al menos un concierto de facultad por semestre.
Recomendamos a nuestros estudiantes que además asistan a conciertos fuera del programa y a
salidas a conciertos externos “field trips” programadas por Harmony Project.
7. Cuidado del instrumento – Tanto el estudiante como los acudientes serán responsables por el
mantenimiento del instrumento. Los padres o acudientes deberán responsabilisarse de los costos de
reemplazo de instrumento o reparación, en caso de que el estudiante dañe el instrumento Por
favor notificar inmediatamente al maestro sobre cualquier problema que ocurra con el instrumento
(esto significa reportar un instrumento quebrado, cuerdas que se necesitan cambiar, etc.). Todo
arreglo de instrumendo debe ser diligenciado por medio de la oficina de Harmony Project. Por favor
no trate de arreglar un instrumento usted mismo.
8. Todos los estudiantes deberán comportarse bien, para generar un ambiente apropiado de
aprendizaje.
9. Los estudiantes siempre deben pedir permiso antes de salir del salón de clases.
10. Los estudiantes no deben tocar objetos que no le pertenescan.
