This is an Archdiocesan-wide Drive to replenish
dwindling Food pantries. It will be held from
Sunday, Jan. 25 through Feb.1. Please donate to
support emergency food programs such as St.
Mary’s Food Pantry. We ask all donations be left
outside the Rectory.

ST. MARY’S SCHOOL
We invite all parents, parishioners, and friends
to celebrate with us as we officially open
CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK “Catholic Schools:
Communities of Faith, Knowledge, and Service”
on Sunday, January 25. The 9:00 a.m. Mass will
be followed by an Open House in the School.
Join our principal, faculty, parents, and students
as we celebrate Catholic education.
The
students will be treated to an ice cream social on
Monday. On Tuesday, January 27, school will be
open from 9 to 11 a.m. to all parishioners,
parents, and community members. Come visit us
on a typical school day!
On Wednesday,
January 28 at 9:30 a.m., we welcome our
grandparents, special relatives, senior citizens,
and bus drivers for some entertainment and
refreshments. Wednesday evening is our annual
“bake-off.” This year we are doing cookies, and
we are inviting parishioners to bake and enter
their favorite cookies! Please join us! Thursday
is class choice no uniform day and we will be
hosting a regional Homework Help Night for
parents – details to follow. The week ends with
the celebration of Teacher Recognition Day on
January 30.
Pre-K & Kindergarten Open School – On
Tuesday, February 3, an Open School will be
held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. for parents
interested in sending children to our September
2015 full day Pre-K or Kindergarten.
Registration for Pre-K, Kindergarten, and for
Openings in Grades 1-8 will be held on
Thursday, February 5, from 9:30-11 a.m. and 1 to
2 p.m. and on Thursday, February 12, from 9:30
to 11 a.m. and 1 to 2 p.m. For entrance into PreK, a child must be 4 years of age by December 1,
2015. For entrance into Kindergarten, a child
must be five years of age by December 1, 2015.
At the time of registration, the following will be
required: Birth Certificate, Baptismal Certificate,
and Proof of Immunization signed by a doctor.
For Grades 2 and up, copies of standardized test
scores (CTBS, ITBS, etc.) are required in addition
to the current report card or progress report.
There is a non-refundable registration fee of
$100 per family. Questions concerning the
above information may be directed to the school
office at 297-7500.

February 18, 2015
The search begins for the longest married
couple in the Archdiocese of New York! To
enter, couples must be sacramentally married
for a minimum of 65 years and reside in the
Archdiocese of New York. The longest married
couples(s) will be honored on Sun., Feb. 8, at the
St. Patrick’s in Highland Mills at the 12 Noon
Mass. Most Rev. Peter Byrne, Auxiliary Bishop

LOCAL ROSARY FOR LIFE
JAN. 22, 2015: For those not traveling to
Washington, DC, please join us for Rosaries for
Life at Poughkeepsie Planned Parenthood starting
after 8:00 a.m. Mass will be offered at St. Mary’s
Poughkeepsie. Exposition will be available for
those selecting to stay in church. Reposition of the
Blessed Sacrament will take place when the
rosary procession returns to the church. All are
invited.

ANNUAL MARCH FOR LIFE
BUSES FOR MARCH FOR LIFE: JAN. 22, 2015: The
March for Life in Washington D. C. is scheduled
for Thursday Jan. 22, 2015. The buses for the
March will leave Thursday Jan. 22 in the morning.
This is the 42nd anniversary of the Supreme Court
making it legal to kill babies out of the shadows of
the Declaration of Independence. St. Columba
buses will leave St. Columba Church at 5AM after
a 4:30 AM Mass. St. Mary’s bus will leave from
Holy Trinity Church (new location) at 5AM after a
4:30 am Mass there. For reservations on the St.

Exposición estará disponible para aquellos que

LA ESCUELA DE SANTA MARIA
Invitamos a todos los feligreses, padres y amigos,

El miércoles 28 de enero a las 9:30 de la mañana,
damos la bienvenida a nuestros abuelos,

noche es nuestra "bake-off" anual. Este año

Pre-K y Kindergarten Escuela Abierta - El
martes 3 de febrero de una Escuela Abierta se
realizará de 9:30 a 10:30 am para los padres
interesados en enviar a los niños para Septiembre
2015 en día completo de Pre-K o Kindergarten.
Inscripción para Pre-K, Kindergarten, y para
vacantes en los grados 1-8 tendrán lugar el
jueves 5 de febrero, de 9: 30 a 11 am y de 1 a 2
pm. Tambien, jueves el 12 de febrero, de 9:30 a
11 am y de 1 a 2 pm. Para la entrada en Pre-K, un
niño debe tener 4 años de edad antes del 1 de
diciembre de 2015. Para la entrada al jardín de
infancia, un niño debe tener cinco años de edad
antes del 1 de diciembre de 2015. En el momento

MARCHA ANUAL POR LA VIDA
Autobuses de Marcha Por LaVia: La Marcha
por la Vida en Washington DC está programada
para el jueves 22 de enero de 2015. Los autobuses
de la Marcha dejará Jueves 22 de enero por la
mañana. Este es el 42o aniversario de la decisión
del Corte Suprema de Justicia por lo que es legal
matar a los bebés. El autobús de Santa María
saldrá desde la Iglesia de la Santísima Trinidad
(nueva ubicación) a las 5 am después de una Misa
