Mission Statement of St. Anthony Church
We are a Catholic community of faith in the Jesuit tradition gathered around Jesus Christ and centered in the
Eucharist. In a diverse and changing world we struggle to grow in our relationship with God and with one another.
Through our worship, our ministries and our promotion of peace and justice, we walk with Jesus of the Gospel who
reveals God’s love for all.
“AT ONCE THEY LEFT THEIR NETS
AND FOLLOWED HIM”
The Rosary Society will be having their
annual bake sale on
Sunday, Sept 25 after all the Masses.
We will even have some gluten free items!
St. Anthony’s Parish invites you to “Come and See”.
Come to learn about your faith and what we believe as
Catholics.
We will begin the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation
for Adults) on Tuesday, October 4, at 7:30 PM in the
Parish Center.
If you desire to become Catholic or to complete your
initiation into the Church by receiving the Sacraments
of Confirmation or Eucharist, or if you wish to come
into Full Communion in the Catholic Church, please
“Come and See”.
A special collection for retired priests living
at St. Pius X Enriched Living Facility will
take place this weekend. Please be as generous as possible! Thank You!

teachings of Jesus were delivered as parables and are found in the gospels of Matthew, Mark,

Reasons From The Teachings Of The Church For Wanting
To Spend One Hour With Jesus In The Blessed Sacrament
10. If Jesus were actually visible in church, everyone
would run to welcome him, but he remains hidden in
the Sacred Host under the appearance of bread, because he is calling us to faith, that we many come to
him in humility.
"The Blessed Sacrament is the ‘Living Heart’ of each
of our churches and it is our very sweet duty to honor
and adore the Blessed Host, which our eyes see, the
Incarnate Word, whom they cannot see." (Pope Paul
VI, Credo of the People of God)

Scripture Reflection
The sin of the rich man in today’s parable was not that
he was rich, but that he failed to share his wealth with
the beggar at his gate. He knew Lazarus, walked by
him every time he came in or out, but did nothing to
relieve his suffering. Is there a Lazarus in my life?
