banks to launch mobile services to all their customers via a single connection.
PLATFORM
The Sybase mBanking 365 platform is a stand alone turn-key mobile banking application that can be integrated with existing e-channel banking platforms or core banking systems to enable
Financial Institutions to extend their services to the mobile channel. With Sybase mBanking 365, banks enable their customers to access key banking features using the 3 core mobile channels: SMS text messaging, browsing and phone-based client. The product provides not only end-user mobile functionality, but includes a full featured bank-facing Operational Module for complete management of the platform and services, and a User Profile for customer self-service
End User Features
The mBanking product supports all three end user access types. Financial Institutions can support two-way
interactive SMS text messaging, WAP 2.0 natively and the phone-based client. Through each of these access
channels, the banking customer is able to access services including:
General Banking, such a Account Balances, Funds Transfer, and Account Details
Bill Payment
Alert Management
Bank Enquiry and correspondence
ATM and Branch Location
Other banking product information and collateral
Location based services for iPhone, Android, and Blackberry
Sybase mBanking 365 enables banks to provide rich services via SMS by inclusion of natural language support,
removing the need for users to remember preset keywords. With the inclusion of Out-of-Band authentication,
even services such as funds transfer become possible via SMS. Device Detection and optimization for Mobile
Browser support enables banks to offer their customers a choice of mobile channels to access the bank, and
in addition can be used for Out-of-Band authentication for SMS services. Finally, the phone-based application
enables the banks to place a branded application on their customers’ phones, and with support of GPR and
SMS within applications, customers can still access services even when travelling.
Customer Care
Sybase mBanking 365 has a customer care module that provides the bank with the ability to provide standard
customer care including:
Retrieve customer information and profile
Create and manage Customer Service Representatives who interface with end users for support
Reset customer passwords
Lock and unlock users
Manage customer preferences, including Alert properties and out-of band security preferences
Operations Support
The Sybase mBanking 365 Operational Module enables the managing of overall operations within the
mBanking channel. Within the operational manager, bank administrators are able to:
Create service packages and market segments
Assign and manage billing codes
Entitle features into those segments
Assign customers into the segments
Report on customer activities per channel, per customer, or at the bank level
