Right-to-Know Professional Qualifications of Teachers and Paraprofessionals

Dear Parents and Guardians,
At KIPP Un Mundo Dual Language Academy we are very proud of our teachers and feel they are
prepared to give your child a high-quality education. In accordance with the Elementary and Secondary
Education Act, Section 111(h)(6), this letter serves to inform every parent/guardian of a student in a
Title I, Part A school that you have the right to request and receive information in a timely manner
regarding the professional qualifications of your child’s classroom teacher. Every parent/guardian has
the right and may request information regarding the professional qualifications of their child’s classroom
teacher including, at a minimum, the following:
1. Whether the teacher has met state qualification and licensing criteria for the grade levels and
subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction.
2. The baccalaureate degree of the teacher, any other graduate certification or degree held by the
teacher, and the field of discipline of the certification or degree.
3. Whether the child is provided services by paraprofessionals and, if so, their qualifications.
Additionally, you may find a current list of all KIPP San Antonio teachers and their corresponding
qualifications on our district website at http://kippsa.org/public-information/.
Our staff is committed to helping your child develop the knowledge, skills, and character he/she needs
to succeed in school and beyond. That commitment includes making sure all of our teachers and
paraprofessionals are highly effective.

Derecho-a-Saber sobre las cualificaciones de maestros y paraprofesionales

Queridos padres y guardianes,
En KIPP Un Mundo Dual Language Academy, nos sentimos muy orgullosos de nuestros maestros y
entendemos que ellos están preparados para darle a sus hijos/as una educación de alta calidad. De
acuerdo con el Acta de Educación para Escuelas Elementales y Secundarias, Sección 111(h)(6), esta carta
sirve para informar a cada padre/guardián de un estudiante de una escuela Título I, Parte A que tiene el
derecho de requerir y recibir a tiempo información sobre las cualificaciones profesionales del maestro
titular de su salón de clase. Cada padre/guardián tiene este derecho y puede solicitar información
relacionada a las cualificaciones profesionales del maestro titular del salón hogar incluyendo, como
mínimo, lo siguiente:
1. Si el maestro/a ha cumplido con los requisitos del estado y con el criterio para recibir la
certificación para el grado y las materias en que el maestro/a enseña.
2. La licenciatura del maestro/a, cualquier otra certificación graduada o de título obtenido por el
maestro/a y la concentración de la certificación o licenciatura.
3. Si el estudiante recibe servicios de los paraprofesionales y, de ser así, cuales son las
cualificaciones.
Además, usted puede encontrar una lista actualizada de todos los maestros de KIPP San Antonio y sus
cualificaciones correspondientes en la página web del distrito en http://kippsa.org/public-information/.
Nuestro personal está comprometido a ayudar a su hijo/a a desarrollar su conocimiento, destrezas y el
carácter que se necesita para ser exitoso en la escuela y en el futuro. Este compromiso incluye
asegurarnos de que todos nuestros maestros y paraprofesionales sean altamente efectivos.
