Save Money While Staying Warm
Saving on your heating bill while still keeping a warm home may not seem to go hand in hand, but by
changing a few things around your home, you could do both. By making your home more energy-efficient,
you’ll keep the cold out and keep more money in your pocket. Here’s how:
CALL IN A PROFESSIONAL. Have a professional inspect your furnace
every year to maintain peak operating efficiency.
WEATHERIZE YOUR HOME. Weather-stripping and caulking windows
and doors can prevent cold air from entering – and warm air from
escaping – the home.
SEAL AND INSULATE YOUR DUCTWORK. Air can often escape through
leaks in your system’s ductwork. Apply foil tape to seal leaks, and
insulate exposed ductwork in unheated areas of the home.
CLEAN OR REPLACE YOUR AIR FILTERS. A dirty furnace filter can
cause the system to run less efficiently. Clean or change your filter
once a month.
ADJUST YOUR THERMOSTAT. Using a programmable thermostat or
turning down the temperature when you are away from home can
help reduce energy consumption.

Ahorre Dinero Mientras Mantiene Caliente Su Hogar
