JESUS’ GREATEST REVELATION:
GOD IS A FAMILY!
My dear sisters and brothers:
HAPPY FEAST OF THE MOST HOLY TRINITY!
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the
Father, fill our hearts out with the enduring happiness
of the new life he won for us and we received through
the Holy Spirit. Today I would like to share with you
the reflections of Friar John O’Connor (Oxford, Great
Britain) about the message of the Word of God on
this 31st day of May, 2015: The Most Holy Trinity
Sunday (Cycle B):
Some Christians think that the doctrine of the Trinity
is so baffling that it's better to forget about it. Other
recognise that it must be important in some way, but
do not see how it could possibly be of any help to us
in our daily lives as followers of Jesus Christ. I think
this is a terrible pity not only because I believe that
the doctrine of the Trinity is true, but even more so
because I see it as being of the greatest help in
showing us the way to God. Far from being irrelevant,
I believe that belief in the Trinity is at the very centre
of our lives as Christians.
When we reflect on what Jesus shows us about
relationship with God, we see that this relationship is
about our sharing in the life of the Trinity. To be fair,
the doctrine of the Trinity can seem not only very
confusing, but confused. It tells us that God is both
One and that God is Three: the Persons of Father, Son
and Spirit. There is in God a profound and perfect
unity, so that we can rightly speak of God as One.
And yet in that unity there is distinction, of Father,
Son and Spirit.
The passage from the Gospels that I often begin with
when I reflect on the Trinity is where Jesus is asked
by his disciples how to pray, and he replies that they
are to pray like this: 'Our Father…' We see in the
Gospels that Jesus, the Son, speaks to his Father, and
that his relationship with the Father is one of the
greatest intimacy and trust. The conversation of the
Jesus with his Father is a real conversation, not Jesus
talking to himself. If Jesus is divine (as well as
human) and the Father is also divine, then we
immediately see a distinction in God between Father
and Son. We are already part of the way in thinking
about the Trinity.
We see at this early stage the presence of two of the
Persons of the Trinity: Father and Son. If we are
invited by Jesus to address his Father as our Father,
then we must have a relationship with the Father that
is like Jesus's relationship with the Father, because
the Father is not only his Father but ours. This tells us
that when we address the Father as our Father, then
we are like Christ himself in some way. As Christians
we believe that Jesus is both God and man, and also
that the Father is God. What allows us to address is
the Father as our Father in the full sense of that is not
simply that we share in the same humanity as Christ,
but that we are raised to the level of the divine. Being
raised to the level of the divine, the Father is not only
the Father of Jesus the Son, but is truly our Father too.
Life in the Spirit!
This Sunday and every Sunday until Pentecost we will
have a Life in the Spirit seminar titled “Deeper”. We
firmly believe that this will help strengthen your
relationship with Jesus! We begin at 2:30 in the St. Mike’s.

Young people who are in 6-8th grade are invited to our
Junior High Youth Group!
Every Friday from 7-8:30 pm we will be having a weekly
youth group for young people from 6-8th grade in the St.
Mike’s Room. The evening will include games, snacks,
music, and most importantly prayer! We highly encourage
parents to take their kids!
Bilingual Young Adult Gathering!
Every second Sunday of the month we have a bilingual
young adult gathering titled “Seek” for young adults
ages18-40. The meeting begins with Eucharistic Adoration
at 5 pm followed by a simple social. Our next meeting will
be held June 14h. Invite your friends and see you there!
Music Ministry Training
We are offering music ministry training every Thursday
for those who desire to serve the Church in that way. The
class schedule is as follows: Drums 4 pm, Guitar and Bass
5 pm, and Keyboards at 6 pm. For more information

LA GRAN REVELACION DE JESUS:
¡DIOS ES UNA FAMILIA!
Mis queridas hermanas y mis queridos hermanos:
¡FELIZ FIESTA DE LA SANTISMA TRINIDAD! Que
la Gracia de Cristo nuestro Señor, el Hijo del Padre, colme
nuestros corazones de la dicha infinita de la vida nueva
que él ha obtenido para nosotros por medio del Espíritu
Santo. Vamos a compartir las reflexiones de Fray
Gerardo Sánchez Mielgo O.P. (Madrid, España), sobre
el mensaje de la Palabra de Dios en este Domingo de la
Santísima Trinidad (Ciclo B):
Jesús les dijo: se me ha dado pleno poder en el cielo y en
la tierra. El relato mateano revela el proceso hasta llegar a
la apertura total al mundo que es el proyecto del Padre y
que garantizará el Espíritu. Al comenzar el relato, Mateo
indica con especial cuidado que Jesús es el hijo de David,
de Abraham. Sabemos que Abraham es el padre y origen
del pueblo elegido. Jesús se enraíza en el judaísmo. Hay
que recordar brevemente, para comprender el final, que el
judaísmo se cerró cada vez más en sus propias prácticas e
instituciones. Sobre todo después del Exilio de Babilonia,
al verse amenazada su identidad. Pero sus posiciones
desbordaron todos los límites previstos por la misma
Escritura. En esta situación la apertura a los paganos era
casi imposible. Pues bien, tras la muerte-resurrección de
Jesús que, en frase de Pablo, ha derribado todos los muros
de separación (Ef 2,13ss) se ha realizado aquella promesa
hecha a Abraham (Gn 12,1ss) de ser una bendición para
todos los pueblos. El pleno poder que Jesús recibe del
Padre está orientado a la salvación del hombre, a realizar
en la historia aquella promesa antigua hecha a Abraham.
Id y haced discípulos de todos los pueblos. Ahora es
posible la misión universal. Esta misión estará presidida y
acompañada por los Tres. El Padre ha enviado al Hijo al
mundo para que el mundo participe y experimente la
salvación: Tanto amó Dios al mundo, que le envió a su
Hijo único, para que todo el que crea en él no perezca, sino
que tenga vida eterna. Pues no envió Dios a su Hijo para
dictar sentencia de condenación contra el mundo, sino para
que por medio de él se salve el mundo (Jn 3,16-17). La
misión apostólica hunde sus raíces en la misión del Hijo
por el Padre y tiene como tarea hacer presente hasta los
últimos rincones del mundo y hasta lo más hondo del
corazón del hombre la conciencia de que todo es fruto del
amor de Dios. El Hijo envía de junto al Padre al Espíritu
para que haga posible la plena reconciliación de los
hombres con su Dios-Padre, es decir, la nueva creación:
Como el Padre me envió, así os envío yo a vosotros. Sopló
sobre ellos y les dijo: recibid el Espíritu Santo. A quienes
perdonéis los pecados, les quedarán perdonados; a quienes
no se los perdonéis, les quedarán sin perdonar (Jn 20,
20ss). Los dos evangelistas (Mateo y Juan) nos enseñan en
qué consiste la misión y a quiénes son enviados los
Apóstoles: para anunciar la Buena Noticia de la nueva
creación realizada por Cristo y actualizada por el Espíritu a
todos los hombres sin excepción. ¡La Trinidad siempre
volcada en favor de los hombres!
Bautizadlos en el nombre del Padre y del Hijo y del
Espíritu Santo y enseñadles a guardar todo lo que os he
mandado. El bautismo es un sello firme e imborrable de la
presencia, comunión y actuación de los Tres en favor del
hombre. Bautizar en su nombre significa que somos
propiedad de los Tres (en la Biblia el nombre representa a
la persona). El bautismo nos introduce en la vida e
intimidad de los Tres
Seminario Vida en el Espíritu!
Este domingo y todos los domingos hasta Pentecostés
tendremos un seminario de vida en el espíritu. Creemos
que va a profundizar su relación con Dios! Empezamos a
las 2:30 pm en el salón de St. Mike’s. Inviten a sus
amigos!
Grupo de Jóvenes de “Junior High School”!
Todos los viernes vamos a tener un grupo para jóvenes de
sexto a octavo grado en el salón de St. Mike’s desde la 7
pm hasta la 8:30 pm!
Reunión Para Jóvenes Adultos!
Todos los Segundo Domingos de cada mes vamos
tendremos una reunión para jóvenes adultos llamado
“Seek” (Buscar) para los jóvenes adultos entre 18 y 40 de
edad. La reunión empezará con adoración al Santísimo a
las 5 pm. Después de la Hora Santa tendremos un tiempo
de compartir. La próxima reunión será el 14 de Junio.

Estamos ofreciendo entrenamiento de ministerio de música
todos los jueves. La agenda de las clases es: Batería 4 pm,
