2016 LWLL Parent Code of Conduct
Preamble
The essential elements of character building and ethics in sports
are embodied in the concept of sportsmanship and six core
principles: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness,
caring, and good citizenship, the highest potential of sports is
achieved when competition reflects these “six pillars of
character”.
Therefore I agree:
Estoy de acuerdo en lo siguiente:
1.
I will not force my child to participate in sports.
No forzare a mi hijo/a a participar en deportes.
2. I will remember that children participate to have fun
and that the game is for youth, not adults.
Reconozco que los niño/as participan para divertirse y el juego es
para ellos no los adultos.
3. I will inform the coach of any physical disability or
ailment that may affect the safety of my child or the safety of
others.
Yo le informare al coach de cualquier discapacidad física o
enfermedad que pueda afectar el bienestar de mi hijo/a o sus
compañeros
4. I will learn the rules of the game and the policies of
Luckie Waller Little League.
Aprenderé los reglamentos del juego y las pólizas de Luckie Waller
Little League
5. I (and my guests) will be a positive role model for my
child and encourage sportsmanship by showing respect and
courtesy, and by demonstrating positive support for all
players, coaches, officials and spectators at every game,
practice or other sporting event.
Yo y mis invitados mostraremos buena conducta con mi hijo/a y
apoyaremos en el/ella buena conducta deportiva y cortesía con otros.
Mostraremos apoyo a todos los jugadores, coaches, oficiales y los
otros aficionados en todos los partidos, entrenamientos y otros
eventos.
6. I (and my guests) will not engage in any kind of
unsportsmanlike conduct with any official, coach, player,
or parent such as booing and taunting: refusing to shake
hands: or using profane language or gestures.
Yo y mis invitados no nos involucraremos en mala conducta
deportiva con cualquier oficial, coach, jugador u otro padre. No
usaremos lenguaje ofensivo.
7. I will not encourage any behaviors or practices that would
endanger the health and wellbeing of the athletes.
No apoyare mala conducta que pueda causar peligro a los atletas.
8. I will teach my child to play by the rules and to resolve
conflicts without resorting to hostility or violence.
Enseñare a mi hijo/a a jugar acuerdo a las reglas y resolver
conflictos sin hostilidades o violencia.
10. I will teach my child that doing one’s best is more important
than winning, so that my child will never feel by the outcome of
a game or his/her performance. Enseñare a mi hijo/a que
intentando el mejor esfuerzo es más que ganar el juego y el resultado
no fue a culpa de su buena intención.
11. I understand that my child’s picture or accomplishments
may be depicted on the leagues website. Estoy de acuerdo que la
foto/ imagen de mi hijo/a aparezca en la pagina de Internet de la liga
(www.luckiewallerlittleleague.com)
12. I will never ridicule or yell at my child or other
participant for making a mistake or losing a competition
Yo nunca le gritare o pondré a mi hijo/a en ridículo u otros
participantes por errores o perder el partido.
13. I will emphasize skill development and practices and
how they benefit my child over winning. I will not emphasize
competition in the lower age groups. Mi énfasis será en como el
desarrollo y el entrenamiento lo/a beneficia mas que ganar un
partido. No forzare la idea de ganar sobre aprender en los niveles
bajos.
14. I will promote the emotional and physical wellbeing of
the athletes ahead of any personal desire I may have for my
child to win. Mi esfuerzo será sobre el bienestar del atleta sobre mi
deseo personal de ganar partidos.
15. I will respect the officials and their authority during
games and will never question, discuss, or confront coaches at
the game held, and will take time to speak with coaches at an
agreed upon time and place. Respetare los oficiales y su autoridad
y no me enfrentare con ellos o los coach durante los partidos.

16. I will demand a sports environment for my child that is
free from drugs, tobacco, and alcohol and I will refrain from
their use at all sports events. Exijo un ambiente deportivo sano y
libre de drogas y alcohol y yo no usare los dichos vicios.
17. I will refrain from coaching my child or other players
during games and practices, unless I am one of the official
coaches of the team. Si no tengo puesto de coach oficial no
intentare de dirigir a mi hijo/a durante los partidos o entrenamiento.
18. I understand that if my conduct on or off the field is
verbally or physically abusive, the league president and/or
board of directors may suspend or ban me from attending any
other games or league events, I also understand that a
restraining order can be placed against me if deemed necessary.
Estoy de acuerdo si mi conducta dentro o en los alrededores de los
campos es abusiva en forma verbal o física, el presidente o la mesa
directiva de la liga puede suspender mi privilegio de atender partidos
o puedo ser expulsado de la liga o una orden de restricción de la

Parents are to understand that names are not allowed on
the uniforms or on the outside of the hats. No se permiten
