The Saint Benedict Forum invites parishioners to two exciting
free events on the campus of Hope College.
Feb. 2, at 4:00 pm, Father David Meconi, S.J., a Hope College
alumnus & renowned Patristics scholar, will explore topics such as,
why we are drawn to our own pain and how it is that we can choose
to injure ourselves, in his talk titled “Ravishing Ruin: Self-Loathing in
St. Augustine.” He will be speaking in Martha Miller Room 135
(257 Columbia Ave.).

Faith and Justice Internship with Catholic Charities West Michigan
The Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) is the domestic, anti-poverty social justice program of the U.S. Catholic Bishops.
This year, CCHD is offering a local paid internship for a Catholic with Catholic Charities West Michigan to help promote the important work
of CCHD and to offer experience working with and on behalf of those in poverty. The internship will provide practical work in carrying out
the mandate of CCHD, opportunities to develop relationships with community leaders, reflection on Catholic social teaching, and opportunities for sharing the experience with other CCHD interns. The internship is paid at an hourly rate of $12/hour and requires 11-12 hours/
week from September 2015 to May 2016. Those with strong writing abilities and an interest in Catholic social justice are encouraged to

Dialogo de la Visión del Programa de Formación de Fe
HOY Domingo, 1 de febrero, 2015 de 2:00 – 3:30 pm Español
Nuestra personal de Formación de Fe ha tomado tiempo este año para orar, reflexionar, e investigar maneras de mejorar
como apoyamos a nuestra parroquia que sigue cambiando y vivir la misión de la iglesia en hacer y fortalecer discípulos.
Los beneficios de este proceso incluyen mirando las bendiciones y barreras que existen en nuestro programa de formación
para los niños y jóvenes. Hemos formulado un plan para estos programas de cómo utilizar mejor nuestras bendiciones y
poner mas flexibilidad para poder trabajar mejor con los padres mientras juntos crecemos conocer, amar y servir al Señor
como discípulos.
Invitamos a la parroquia a participar en el dialogo sobre estos cambios y cómo podemos trabajar juntos para continuar mejorando mientras formamos discípulos en nuestra parroquia. Tendremos dos reuniones que se llevaran a cabo en el Salón
de Multi-usos. Esperamos que puedan asistir o que nos apoyen en oración para que nuestra parroquia esté abierta y lista
para escuchar y seguir el plan de nuestro Señor.
